Pros
-easy to OC
-unlocked multiplier
-runs cool
-cheap
Cons
-no HSF? No worries though!
Summary
Been running this on 2.9ghz so far with a small bump on the voltage. I unfortunately cannot go any further. I would assume it to be due to my budget, crap-brand motherboard. But apparently people can get this up to 3.2ghz on air.I will try to OC it even more when I get a new mobo. It did notice a very decent increase in speed. Upgraded from a 3000+ 1.6ghz sempron to this baby.Highly recommended. Expect the price for this to go even lower!

Pros
Good OCer
Unlocked multiplier for those who need it
Cons
no HS
Summary
Great CPU here. There is really no need to have the multiplier unlocked on this processor when it OC better with lower than stock multiplier. Running stable at 3.2 at stock voltage with a Zalman 9500.

Great CPU for the price hands down.

Pros
Price
Unlocked Multiplier - 2.9ghz on stock voltage
Overclocking Potential
Cons
no HSF included
Summary
In my first build, I needed a cheap processor without breaking the bank, so I decided on this one because the price low. While it may not be the newest processor on the block, it can be competitive with those whom are slightly more powerful due to the Black Edition's unlocked multiplier. With this feature free of its chains, I was able to get this gem up to 2.9ghz on stock voltage just by increasing the multiplier from 13x to 14.5x stable. If I had the time, i'd attempt to overclock it even more.

My only beef with this is that it didn't include even a fairly cheap HSF and thus you need to buy one separate if you want to overclock without worrying too much about overheating.

Overall, good processor and fun to overclock if you have the time.

Pros
Easily overclocked, runs very cool
Cons
None
Summary
Unlocked multiplier makes it very easy to overclock to 2.9 GHz without the need to increase the voltage. With a good cooler and by increasing voltage, this proc can easily reach 3.2 GHz.

Much better choice than the more expensive locked 6400+ (twice the price) as this CPU runs much much cooler.

Comment: The 5000+ Black Edition is the ideal choice for users who wish to upgrade their existing AM2 systems. Thanks to its low power dissipation even when overclocked, buying a new cooling solution is unnecessary. Furthermore, the low heat generation also means the system will not become much noisier as a
