DVD burners are pretty much a commodity these days, not a whole lot differentiates them. But this one is generally considered to be a better one.

Full featured DVD burner and cheap (bought mine at $23.99). Incredibly easy to install... (plug it in and make sure the SATA port is turned on in the BIOS). Compatible with all good media types and speeds (my original TEAC W58E "8x" burner that came in the Dell 8300 wouldn't burn any media above 4x because it didn't recognize the newer media's speed and there's no firmware update to fix it). This burner is just what the doctor ordered.

This is your basic DVD multi burner. Plenty of formats of cd media support. I burned 3 4.7GB DVD's in 1 hour. This thing is blazing fast. My other would take 25-30 min per DVD. It has lightscribe which is cool but i never use it tried it once and it seems ok. Overall this is a great product.

This is a good DVD writer, quieter than my last drive. Seems a bit faster in recognizing a disc when you put something in it vs my last drive.

Got this on special. It's a nice cheap dvd writer that does its job without fail. Visually, as dvd drives go, this looks nice in a black. Would recommend for any budget to midrange build.

a cheap dvd sriter that does the job. it's fairly noisy though and can get pretty hot but the upside to all this is the nero that comes with it (the non bloatware version) and fast burning speeds

No problems with it at all so far. Totally fast as I need. Normal noise for an optical drive. I have always found that anything samsung makes that has a competitive price will provide great performance...like this drive. Only a 4 stars cause I haven't owned enough of them over the years to compare much.
