How does our technology work?
Our audio signal circuitry processes audio signals so that your left ear hears only the left field sound and your right ear, the right field sound. You will find your self surrounded by vivid sound image as if you are right in there...It is quite amazing!
Most everyone has had an experience of being impressed by the near perfect stereo images coming from a pair of inexpensive headphones. Although ear pieces are placed over left and right ears, you hear various sounds coming from different distances.
Our technology delivers multi-channel sound in a similar fashion. In addition, our audio signal circuitry offers two major advantages over the headphones. Very obvious advantage is the monophonic portion of the music. That sound will come from the center channel of the main speaker placed in front of you. It will not sound at the top of your head. Another and more significant advantage is that creation of depth. Our technology not only reproduce the horizontal left to right sound field but also the perspective front to back sound field.
Other conventional 5-speaker home theater systems create five distinctly separated sound fields. You would notice the sound "jump" from one speaker to another speaker among five speakers. Why? This happens because human ears can hear the slight delay in its sound waves emitted from physically separated left and right speakers heard by your left and right ear. Even if an original audio source recorded the continuous left-to-right sound image, when it is reproduced through physically separated left and right speakers, your brain hears it as non-continuous. Why? Because your brain detect a sound wave from the right speaker reach your right ear first, and a fraction of later, your left ear.
The headphone does not cause this delay. Because the sound waves coming out of the left earpiece will never reach the right ear. No delay will be detected so you hear a smooth transition from left to right.
Our technology does the same thing as the headphone in a open space. We make sure that the right ear hears only the right field sound and vise versa for the left ear. We accomplishes this task by combining our proprietary electronic audio signal processing technology with physical speaker driver configurations.
Does Binaura system require specially recorded audio source? The answer is a definite "NO". All contemporary stereo and multi channel recordings are made with all necessary information to recreate the original horizontal and perspective dimensions. Binaura system simply takes full advantage of the available recorded information and delivers the original recording at its best. Binaura system never rely on a secondary effect forced by the physical separations of left, center and right speakers.
