* Acceptable Volume
* Powerful Design
* Bearing Type Is Not As Durable As Competition
* Power Cord Does Not Allow The Option To Plug In A Sister Fan.
I purchased 4 of these for my new system and foolishly didn't realize they were 38 mm. The Antec 300 doesn't take 38mm front fans. I am now using 2 for a push/pull on my 212+ and the other two are sitting in a box.

I haven't found their volume to be anything crazy, the entire system has a bit of a 'whoosh' sound, but noise/volume is totally subjective in terms of personal distraction anyway.

These things move air very well and keep my system happy. My only real gripe is that there is no way to chain a set together without splicing their wires. I would like to be able to run 2 at the same time off of one power cord.

Good Static Pressure
Moves a lot of air
Not too loud
Got this to put on my Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme to cool my i7 920.
Works great so far.
Doesn't fit in the plastic fan holder that came with the T.R.U.E so I had to zip-tie it on.

adaptator go with
If you want a hurricane to cheap, the scythe ultra kaze is probably the better for it. By cons, with the hurricane just noise, then to 2000 trm it is quite noisy, then use SpeedFan or RivaTuner becomes necessary to control the speed.

38mm, inexpensive
none for the price
This fan works very well. While it may not last as long as Panaflos or Deltas, it is also half the price. Perfect for systems not running 24/7. Recommended.

Keeps everything nice and cool.
Great price, fairly quiet , it just works. On a fan controller those are amazing. Keeps everything cool in your case.

Great 38mm fans. cheap, excellent for shrouds.
I bought 4 of these to use as shrouds on my WC loop. they work excellent as they get rid of the dead spot pretty efficiently. can't say anything about their performance, i gutted it the second i got itIf you don't catch them on sale for 5$, try to pricematch it down to 6 or 7.

High Pressure for big coolers.
Slightly loud, but fine for my tastes.
purchased the 3000RPM version along with this one and it was way too loud. I'm currently running this 2000RPM version in place of a S-FLEX (1600RPM 28.0DBA 63.7CFM) I was running before and I don't notice too much difference sound wise with the 4db sound difference.

Keeps the CPU ~3-5c cooler under full load then the S-FLEX I was using.

Now to see how long it lasts

Great static pressure
Perfect for use on rads or CPU heatsinks
Make sure you have room for these - as they are 13mm thicker than normal fans
Do not respond well to voltage control
I love Scythe Ultra Kazes generally. I've used the 1k, 2k and 3k RPM models, and have found the 2k RPM ones to be the sweet spot in terms of cooling power and noise. The 1k RPM ones are dead silent but don't move a tonne of air. They're fine for use on a rad like a Thermochill PA series, but you'll want more air movement if you're using a cheaper rad like a Swiftech or HW Labs. Same goes for CPU heatsinks - you'll want the kind of air that the 2k or 3k ones push.

The problem with the 3k RPM ones is that they are really loud. Really, really, really loud. And you can't undervolt them with a fan controller or something because they start to make this sort of clicking sound which is really annoying. So you really have to buy the speed that you need rather than go for the fastest and adjust the speed as necessary.

This is why I find the 2k RPM ones to be the sweet spot in the Ultra Kaze series. They make some noise, but certainly are not the loudest fans by any stretch, and they are very effective at pushing a lot of air through tight spaces like a CPU heatsink or a rad.

For the price, these are a great value compared to other high static pressure fans, and I will continue to buy them.

These would not be good case fans though.

Price. Relatively quiet. Move a lot of air.
Deeper than stock.
Picked up quite a few of these at a decent price, and I'm happy with both the amount of air they move, and the sound levels they produce.

Just a note for folks who aren't paying attention though (like myself when I picked them up... ) these are larger fans which might not fit in all applications. I wasn't paying attention when I picked them up, thus didn't notice that they wouldn't fit up top of my Cosmos S case.

move some wind!
fairly inexpensive
high static pressure
shoulda got the 3000rpm since i have em on an controller anyway...
I use 3 of these on my various rads and they're probably overkill (my rads are optimized for low CFM). Nice fans.. just hook em to a controller to make em quieter when you don't need all those CFM.
