With freeware Riva Tuner installed to control the fan speed, GPU temperature can be kept low, around 47-55 degrees C., most of the time. I place my computer on floor so I don't think fan noise is loud especially when I was playing games. I set the profiles in Riva tuner to control fan speed at diff. temp, that it will run at 100% when temp hits 65'C, but it never happened. I would say the fan noise is low at running at 55% or below.

Usually after upgrading my PC I have a bit of buyers remorse, but with this card I have none. It's performed far better than I ever imagined. Even with the GeForce 9-series out, this is the card you should get. While it does run quite warm (usually around 80-85 in-game) the performance doesn't seem to decrease, and if you're uncomfortable with the card running that warm you can always tweak the fan with RivaTuner. I have mine set to kick up to 65% when the temp goes past 75C, and that keeps is cool enough with very little noise.

With the stock cooler, this card runs pretty hot (50+C at idle) but with artic cooling accelero S1 cooler + fan, the temp dropped to 36C, and the card does crazy overclocks considering it's overclock in stock form.

I have been running this card for 2 months. Without any fans or cooling, this card is at GPU/Ambient (celcius) 63/51 Idle and 80/65 Load. Im still able to run Call of Duty 4 Max settings but one strange thing happens: when this card hits 80 degres, your performance drops drastically and fan speed increases until the temperature goes below 80 again. Then it does it again...

This card was able to handle all the games I play all games with resolution set at 1280x1024 at max settings with all details, AA, V-Sync enabled with very good frames.

I'm not overclocking, but at stock speeds she's running smooth, quiet and cool. I would imaging if you're going to be overclocking, you'll want to upgrade the stock cooler. I'm having a blast with this card. Haven't tried crysis yet, but COD4 runs well with most settings maxed at 4X AA.

This is an upgrade from a GeForce MX 440. What can I say? Crysis, Titan Quest, Oblivion, all games run great at 1024x768(some at 1280x1024) with almost all features enabled. Too bad the stock cooler is inadequate. Although this card can run hot by spec, I feel uncomfortable with the GPU temps. We'll see how long it lasts! My sons are green with envy(they have BFG 6600 GT OC and XFX 7600 GT XXX.) Now MY system is the one always used!

This card is fantastic. For $250 you can play any game at max settings. Even games like Crysis will auto select ultra high graphics settings for this card and it runs smoothly.

Wow this thing is just amazing. Right now i am playing crysis and it runs perfectly, without anti-aliasing that is. When i looked at the benchmarks for this thing i thought that it would skip frames often with only about 33 FPS compared to other games running ~60, but it works flawlessly. i also relized that it was benched for stock but you gotta remember that this is overclocked quite nicely already which is a big bonus. overall, it is a must buy since it is priced half of the GTX with equall processing power IMO.
