Pros Great temperature reduction, includes fan, good compatibility, well-made, Noctua offers older 939 mounting kit by request
Cons Fan started making a little ticking noise after a bit but not a big deal because I replaced it with a quiet Nexus 120 mm anyway, fans are cheap and the main heatsink itself does a fantastic job
Summary I love this heatsink and can't say enough good things about it, probably lowered my CPU temperature a good 10 degrees, plus it enabled me to replace my older annoying heatsink with a 90 mm fan that drove me nuts (I have a silent PC now) with an inaudbile 120 mm Nexus fan.
The heat sink is well-made, durable, stylish, just great, easy to install. I misread a review however that said it was compatible with 939 socket motherboards and didn't notice it didn't actually include the kit for 939 in the box, but it wasn't a big deal Noctua was great just sent them an e-mail and they sent me the kit within like a week. Though the "kit" actually only turned out to be 2 longer screws (fairly inexpensive so you'd think they'd of included them off the bat), anyway I had no issues with it feeling loosely secured, feels very tight.
Later on though I got an AM2+ board and new CPU and was able to mount it to that fine as well as it comes with mounting kits for AM2 and LGA 775 sockets (I think the intel i7s use a different socket now [?] so I'd imagine Noctua has a kit for those upon request but don't take my word for it, not sure). Anyway, I also got new Patriot performance ram with my new board that included these "heatsink fins" that made them quite a bit taller, but was happy to see the heatsink still gives just enough clearance to allow them to fit underneath, though it is a little tricky taking the ram out (not fault of noctua's though), and not an issue for me as I am just using my 2x2GB stick in the right-most slots not under the cooler right now anyway (of my 4 slots).
Anyway, can't recommend this cooler enough, great buy to quiet your PC and lower your temperatures, it's win-win, everyone with a stock heatsink should get one of these (or some form of tower heatsink). Also when I bought this it was like within the top 2 or 3 rated tower heatsinks, it may be behind now so do some research before purchasing if you want the best out there.
Pros - Very silent - Overclocked processor runs at 29 on idle, lower than with stock cooling running at normal speed - Big!
Cons - Ugly fan! - Bigger than what I was expecting, tight fit
Summary If you are looking for a great cooling for an OC build, this is what you need. Doesn't make a sound, you have to actually look if it's running or not. This heatsink is HUGE, was expecting something big, but it's WAY bigger than expected. Noctua really makes great quiet fans, but they sure look ugly, but the silence makes makes you forget about all that! Got it on sale at 50$ incredible value for the price, higly recommended, excellent buy!

Pros Has spots on the block for 2 120mm fans! • Has 8 pipes for cooling • Comes with 4 self adhesive vibration reduction strips • A big tube of what the government might call the next big pandemic, a tube of NT-H1 (thermal goop), although I used arctic silver 5. • Quick and easy to install, most time spent will be taking your case apart if it's already been built. • Comes with a comprehensive how to guide for amd and socket 775 boards.
Cons None, my last cpu cooler the OCZ vanquisher had crappy plastic clips and one 80 mm fan that sucked more nutts than alvin and the chipmunks. Not to mention removing and installing the OCZ Vanquisher was a big fail for me...

All in all for a $100 purchase this is an excellent cpu cooler(I bought with it a cooler master blue led 120mm fan and express shipping). With contrast to my last cooler this one blows it away by far. My computer went from running 50º idle 67º with load, to 37º(i)-45º(wl) with an extra cooler master 120 mm fan attatched to it and another as exhaust. I have those temps and my c0mput0r overclocked all the while runs like a champ, might I add nice and quietly(with the exception of my gtx 260 w/fan on 100%). I don't care about the noise so much though. If your comp makes your room heat up, this will definitely help you chill out!

Summary This is an amazing heatsink. Although this performs about the same as other fans, it does it silently with a 50CFM fan. This heatsink actually scales better than a lot of other heatsinks (such as the Xigmatek HDT-S1283). It will perform better that it at higher overclocks.
If you want more performance out of this, stick some 1900RPM Scythe slipstreams on it in push-pull, and then you will really see this CPU cooler shine, very comparable to the TRUE.
If money is not a problem, definitely get this, this is one of the best CPU heatsinks out there.
Cons big, but not a problem if you have a big case
Summary Overall, its an awesome cpu heatsink. It comes with one of the best fans you can get and when you attach the ultra low noise adapter, it move tons of air without ANY noise. It's really big, but it fits easily into my antec twelve hundred. Just make sure you can fit it in your case and you shouldn't have any problems with it. Can't attest to the thermal paste becuase i bought the Arctic Cooling MX-2 stuff, but it can't be that bad. Just make sure it can fit in your case

"The Noctua NH-U12P performs very well, even against some of the top-rated heatsinks on the market. When I pulled the cooler out of the box I was initially impressed with build quality and then once it was in use I was highly impressed with it's cooling ability, as well as the performance of the exc
