this is a great budget drive, got this for pretty cheap price of $50 w/ $10 mir. after 3 months, none of them have failed on me. I havent got any of that clicking sound other people were talking about. very satisfied with it atm.

Bought this for my I5 build, overall I've been impressed. Compared to my old seagate 160gb HD this one is very quiet! Good product. Did I mention its 500GB :O? :)

As indicated above in the strengths, this drive is also quiet and does not make much noise. With a 3.5 in to 5.25 in bay converter, you can mount this hdd in a dvd-rom drive bay as a second hdd to acting as a storage for my htpc. For $50, and with the standard 3 years warranty, a very good purchase.

This is the very first 500gb hard drive to hit the market... EVER, so when Seagate and WD were sleeping they brought this badboy out back in like 2003 so if you want a good solid 500gb HDD, look no further. SATA 2 3gbs transfers etc. Great dive, I'm currently running WINDOWS 7 RTM on it and it's sweet.

Great drive for the price paid. Easy to setup and use. Fast data transfer rates, great for media applications. Would purchase this drive again without hesitation. Better than the seagates drives I have installed beside it. Very reliable.

The last HDD I bought was back in 2007, a Seagate 7200.10 320GB. I bought this to use with a drive enclosure to backup my system and media, and so far it's been working splendidly. I hear a lot of bad rap about this drive's reliability, but it seems to work just fine for a lot of people, including me. Only thing I'm dissatisfied with is me throwing away the packaging and the UPC code so I can't redeem my $10 rebate.

THey work great. I set up a RAID 1 last night and am performing some stability testing on them now before I switch my data back up over to them. Loved the price and would recomend that anyone buy these fast drives.
