I used this board for just over a month, then when I put in the new 9950, something went wrong. I sent my cpu back but it was fine. I guess something gave up on the board when it got the beast cpu, thats now what I had hoped for to say the least. I think they will replace it, in the mean time I havent had a computer in a month =(

I ran an Athlon 5000+ Black Edition CPU in this mobo for 10 months OC'd to 3.2Ghz. I just recently swapped it out for a 125W Phenom 9950 and I've had it for about a week now. I have it OC'd to 3.2Ghz also. I applied some ram sinks to the mosfets because of the horror stories I read about this board catching on fire. It's all good so far.

I wanted a AM2+ board that would give me the possibility to use crossfire. At the same time I'm not sure I will actually use it, so a board with the 790x chip made sense (instead of 790fx). I can't say my experience is very positive up to now. I built a RAID array to install windows vista on. It worked, but now EACH and every time I insert a CD/DVD, I get a blue screen!!! This looks like a driver issue, but after a few days, I still didn't get any reply from Gigabyte support about that. It is my first Gigabyte board and because of this slow response, I think it will be my last. I get another blue screen when I go in hibernation. While this seams to be related to the driver for my wireless internet, I didn't had this problem with my older board.

Currently Gigabyte accepts end users’ requests on RMA service. Motherboards, Video cards, servers and Rackmount server boards carry three years limited warranty.
Warranty Effective On Date of Manufacture
Gigabyte determines warranty based on the manufacture date. The manufacture date can be verified by the serial number found on the product. The first four digits after "SN" determine the year and week of manufacturing date. For example:

RMA Request Procedures and Guidelines
All RMA request forms must be completed in order to obtain a RMA number
RMA request with missing or incorrect serial number(s) may result in a delayed process or a rejection of request
Any model discrepancy for received items may result in a delayed processing timeProducts received with no RMA number may delay processing or refusal (Gigabyte will not be responsible for items received without proper information)
No cross shipping or advanced replacements under any circumstances
Products will either be repaired or replaced at our discretion
