This card's great. It's main purpose is to serve as a final upgrade for this desktop. I was quite disappointed when I went from a 128mb 6600GT to a 256mb 7600GT. Going from a 256mb 7600GT to a 256mb 8600GT was a world difference. Can really crank the GFX quality with minimal loss of Frames.
So far I'm loving it. The fan is very quiet, in fact quieter than my hard drive, which is a very big deal for me since my PC is in the living room. Installation was a breeze, despite the weak documentation. I'm a casual gamer and don't need to spend $300 for the "latest and greatest". This card played everything I threw at it stutter free with all the "eye candy" turned up on max. Much better than my old on-board video. Mind you, World of Warcraft and Black and White 2 are probably my most "graphic intensive" games.
I just bought this card for a little home server. I also use it for htpc it is great. For the price you can't get better deal. I just found the heatsink fan to be very loud but if you got a good noise isolated case or if noise don't bother you this card is good. There is no heatsink on memory, so you could maybe want to add zalman heatsinks. great card will buy again!!

Picked up on a surprise special and after mail in rebate worked out to $38 for the card. Awesome deal for that amount of money, good for the casual gamer. Bios is easy to mod, card is running stable with 625 core and 810 memory clocks. I connected the fan to a spare header on motherboard and use speedfan to control it, is very quiet for everyday computer use and only speeds up under load.

Purchased for a casual gamer. Needed something to handle Call Of Duty 2 and Flight Simulator X. This card does the job with a 17 inch display 1024x768 on a AMD 3000+.

I bought this for a budget computer I was making, and it's worked out great for me. It runs cod4 and TF2 at highest graphic settings (core2duo 2ghz, 1gb ram). I only run games at 1024x768 though.
I purchased this to install in my new Motherboard, and it runs games very well. My son says F.E.A.R. & other graphic-heavy games show a noticeable difference. Only reason I took 1 star off is because of price sale only days after I ordered it :-(

Bought this for a budget system. Got what I wanted. I never had any problems with noise, it seems very quiet to me. Plays games no problem [2005-2006 ones though]. This is way better than the onboard graphics that I was using before.

Great card for the price but fan is too noisy for my taste so I decided to return it for a card that at least has a variable speed fan. I had to eat the 15% restocking fee so I can only assume the noise that this fan creates is normal.
