My first samsung drive and I'm quite impressed. I have all my fans on low and yet I'm unable to hear this harddrive spinning.

This is my first Samsung drive and I'm impressed. Great hard drive, it's quiet, fast, and cool. Sustained transfer speeds are very good for this drive. Good value for the money as well.

This hard drive is in my main computer along with 3 other HD's, so far I haven't noticed any faults or weaknesses with it and I've had it for 4 months.

This is a great harddrive. Extremely quiet, which means a lot to someone like me. Does fast data transfer over the SATA2 bus. I use it for recording high quality (read large filesize) video from my TV Tuner card. I'd buy another one anyday and recommend it without reservation.

This hard drive is fast and has a very large capacity. It was a great deal on sale, and so far I've had no regrets after getting it. I find it very quiet: no ticking or clicking, you can barely hear it outside of the case as well. Would recommend to anyone, but there's better ones out there by now, with less plates (hence faster).

Samsung drives have always been the coolest drives I've had. Even when it is stacked between two other drives. It is also very quiet. Speedwise I can't really say much because I don't measure performance. Meaning it seems to work fine with what I do. Overall I do recommend Samsung drives and they also seem to be the cheapest when on sale. Never had to RMA a Samsung drive so do not know of their customer support directly.

I can't wait till the <30GB flavors of the Velociraptors come out, but until, this will suffice as a OS / Apps hard drive (I want to separate the OS on a Velociraptor)

I have 5 of these drives, they are pretty speedy and quiet. These samsung drives exceed my expectation. May want to put these drives in a raid to avoid data loss.

I got this as a suprise special so the price was right. It offers enough capacity to last me for some time. I "think" it might be a litle louder than most drives but it's hard for me to be sure about that. I'd get another one if I needed one.
