For $50 you get a great card for a HTPC system. Mine worked flawlessly right off the bat. Cards have come down in price incredibly. Comes with the usual DVI-to-VGA adapter, as well as the component and composite adapters. Great buy.

Picked this up as a spare PCIe vid card for my test rig. Can't beat the price, and the fact it includes a DVI & a Standard VGA is a bonus for me as I don't have to search for a VGA adapter when hooking it up to a CRT.
I used to have an Nvidia 8500 GT driving my HTPC to play Hi Def HD-DVD movies. With the 3450, ATI's UVD does a better job in hardware decoding than Nvidia's Purevideo HD. With the 8500 GT, I needed an Intel E6550 to play Hi-Def movies smoothly. With the 3450, I can use my old Opteron 170 that was gathering dust in my old computer parts bin. I did, however, have a better experience with XP than Vista. With Vista, I would just get an error from Power DVD that the video card isn't supported. I have no problems using it in XP though. not sure if the XP drivers are just more mature than the Vista drivers or Power DVD just has problems with Vista (although I didn't have problems in Vista with the 8500 GT). Anyway, highly recommended for a Hi Def HTPC.

When I first installed it with Windows Xp, it crashed my computer a few times. I eventually found out that it wasn't working with my audio driver on Xp. I tried it out on Vista and as far as I know it works great.
