The best dvd burner I never had. The TruDirect technology is really useful. The unit is fast and reliable. This unit does not cost too much and is quite reliable!
Bought this great driver for my main system. It can do everything I want. This is very cool that they added truedirect application cd so I just have to push the button to be able to do different tasks I may want. I highly recommend this drive very silent drive too.

You know, being that you can find it on sale/price match it for $25, you really can't fault this thing for anything. Even the noise issue, hell, its a SATA OD and its 25. How can you comlpain?

DO NOT update the firmware for this unit no matter what the supplied LiveUpdate tool tells you. Doing so renders your DVD writer useless and according to Samsung voids their warranty, even though you update according to their tool and directions - a leap of logic that defies all rational explanation. Buy an LG instead.

This is a great dvd drive. It's quiet and fast. This is the de facto drive to get as everything else in its price range is subpar and everything else that's as amazing as it is 5 times its price. Get it, now. I'm only using this as a dvd drive so I have not considered the other features.

wow i have never heard a dvd drive so quite before. love this dvd rewriter and its read cheap, too bad oem dont come with sata cables so make sure you get some extra cables.
