I bought this to go along with my new build and I am happy with it. I got this for around $72 and it was worth every penny for a 640GB drive. Runs quiet and boots up in less than 20 seconds on my core i7 rig. It doesn't come with cables but that's the same for all OEM hard drives.

Had this drive for about 3 months now and it works good. Put into my daughter computer and she's happy with the amount of space she now has. Just being use for homework, school, and music.

This drive works great; I chose it because I only buy Western Digital Hard drives, and on sale this one offered the best price to feature ratio. It's fast, reliable, fairly quiet, and had a much greater capacity than was needed for this build.

Seeing the price point of the WD Blacks, this is not a bad option either. These drives are quiet and fast - must be platters of 320. Impressive drives that continue to do well...WD has a fairly impressive record and seem to be on top of the ball compared to other brands now.

Very nice drive. Storage wasn't the issue when I selected this drive - it was simply a matter of bang:buck. The speed is decent, and it is surprisingly quiet. I didn't even bother fiddling with the AAM setting to reduce seek noise. My case does have a semi-soft mounting system though.

Product Warranty
First 30 days limited warranty through NCIX.com. The remainder of the 3 year warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer.
Warranty length may vary per specific model. Western Digital Raptor and Caviar RE series enterprise drives are covered by a 5 year warranty. Caviar and Caviar SE desktop drives are covered by a 3 year warranty for OEM drives, and a 1 year warranty for Retail.
Warranty coverage for drives is covered by NCIX for the first thirty (30) days with the remainder of the warranty covered by Western Digital.
