I bought this at sale price of $25 to replace the Kingwin 9225 for my overclocked E2180 f3.2G, the 9225 is not ball but this lowered 10 degree C at full load, now I can try to see how far my E2180 can go.

This is a great heatsink. It is the exact same as the xigmatek hdt-s1283, which given its great ratings, dropped all my hesitations towards buying this. It went on fairly easily, though I bought a backplate kit, as I am not a fan of pushpins. The fan seems decent, though I will change it out eventually I assume.

Only problem i had with this is that the fan is attached to the heatsink. Inorder to mount the heatsink, you have to remove the fan. To remove the fan, just use some force and pull the fan off the heatsink, then put it back after mounting the heatsink. Overall, this is a great heatsink for any cpu.

This heatsink lowered my 4200+ down 20 C. Even at full loads with games cranked all the way to highest settings, my temperature never spikes over 35 C. Only problems I really had were that I had to remove my mobo to install it, and that it blocks RAM slots 1 and 2, but I think that's more mobo design flaws than this product. Have already recommended it twice. Fits in an Antec 300, if anyone is wondering.

Despite being much lighter, smaller, and having fewer heatpipes than most heatsinks, this cooler is amazing. I'm using it on an overclocked Q6600 nd it keeps the load temperature under 50C despite the fact I have the fan spinning at less than 1000RPM.
What can I say? This heatsink is currently taming my overclocked Pentium D 840, which is probably the hottest CPU ever made. So if it can effectively cool that, then it can effectively cool anything.
Replaced my stock Intel cooler on my E6320 which is overclocked to 2.9GHz. Picked up this replacement on sale and was amazed. I've been running Folding at Home for years now and with both cores running it the Intel cooler was getting about 31-32°C over ambient (about 55°C). This would be with noticable fan noise. The Kingwin cools to about 20°C over ambient (about 44°C) and is basically silent under the same loading. The install was easy with my case and the weight of the unit isn't as worrisome as I thought it might be. Going to toy with more overclocking now that I have more cooling headroom.

I tried this to replace my CoolerMaster Gemin II with a single Noctua 120mm fan. What a difference! On an e4400 h 3.0 Ghz, the Gemin with the fan at 100% used to idle at 37 degrees and go up to 70 under full load on a hot day. The Kingwin idles with the fan off at 40 degrees and never sees past 58 under load! Even at full speed the fan is quiet. The only annoying thing is trying to remount the fan once you have installed the cooler, the rubber tabs that slip over the cooler fins are hard to work with, especially if you have an aftermarket Northbridge cooling solution in the way.
