Pros *eVGA Step-up program *Got it for cheap during Boxing Week sale. *Fast!
Cons *Loud when playing games
Summary This card is no longer the top end and has been replaced by the GTX285. However, if you can get it for cheap[er], you can always use the step-up from eVGA to upgrade to something better within 90 days.
Pros The price, the performance, the overclock. OC'ed to 650/1200 with rivatuner with 0 problems.
Cons I had to RMA one of the two I bought as it failed after 4 weeks.
Summary Make sure you use riva tuner and turn up the fans to 100, they are not loud at all. I bought two of these and I had to RMA one to EVGA ($50 shipping w/ insurance) after 4 weeks as it failed. I would still buy again. GTA IV f 120fps with one card (SLI isnt supported yet). Sick.
Summary I love this card, it takes everything I can through at it, in some games it is not recognized in the auto detect game settings. THis card guzzels the power and runs hot. I have mine at a slight overclock and it works fine, and is around 42c at idol, the highest it has ever gone is 50c; to help out a few I am using air cooling. This card is a beast and will be worth the money for years.
Pros Well priced during boxing week sale Excellent performance Much quieter than I expected Comes with Far Cry 2 in the box
Cons Very large card, had to reorganize my components Still seems a bit pricy
Summary Overall I'd say I've had a overwhelmingly positive response to this card. It may be bulky and time consuming to install if you have a average size case, but man is it worth the effort. I was using a Radeon 4850 prior to this and I can notice huge performance increases in all my games. I would recommend this card to pretty much anyone, but you may blow your budget nevertheless
Pros Solid performance, no software/driver problems, will run on an Enermax 465 watt PSU, Crysis on high with all drives and hardware connected.
Cons Price, requires double card space, gets a little warm, single card will run Crysis on High settings not very high settings
Summary I'd highly recommend waiting a bit to buy this card as the price will soon drop due to a new kid on the block is coming out to give you something else to consider. I have one so I will buy another as it's one of those times where you either bite the bullet or sell it and spend more for the next kid on the block that will out perform this one. There is one big problem, if you are thinking of reselling this card as some point, you may find it harder to sell because it sells with no warranty, no way to pay or have it serviced by EVGA. They have set their warranty up so their products cannot be transferred or serviced. Great product but they want to make their money and they won't accept second owners for anything.

Pros very fast video (runs latest games: crysis/far cry2 at full resolution on 24 inch screen), BFG includes lots of goodies in the package, video card is well packaged in box
Cons just high price which I noticed is changing a lot up and down as of january 2nd. Yes, the card is very large (bigger than 8800gtx which I thought was huge).
Sucks a lot of power. When I initially installed I couldn't boot because I had to rewire my power wires to the video card (too much draw on one line).
Summary EXCELLENT video quality and rendering speed. Obviously if you are looking at this card you are interested in gaming or high end video performance. I bought this to replace my 8800GTX and this card is a significant improvement. The 8800GTX couldn't quite get all settings on high and a good resolution. With this card you can literally max out the settings on any game and the highest resolutions and it basically just chugs out 30+ fps regardless. Awesome card!

As for EVGA’s take on the GTX 280 with their Superclocked Edition we reviewed today, we really must say that this card continues EVGA’s history of excellence. Great customer service, a lifetime warranty and a step-up program go a long way in selling us on literally any card so as long as EVGA contin
