This card is no longer the top end and has been replaced by the GTX285. However, if you can get it for cheap[er], you can always use the step-up from eVGA to upgrade to something better within 90 days.

Make sure you use riva tuner and turn up the fans to 100, they are not loud at all. I bought two of these and I had to RMA one to EVGA ($50 shipping w/ insurance) after 4 weeks as it failed. I would still buy again. GTA IV f 120fps with one card (SLI isnt supported yet). Sick.

I love this card, it takes everything I can through at it, in some games it is not recognized in the auto detect game settings. THis card guzzels the power and runs hot. I have mine at a slight overclock and it works fine, and is around 42c at idol, the highest it has ever gone is 50c; to help out a few I am using air cooling. This card is a beast and will be worth the money for years.

Overall I'd say I've had a overwhelmingly positive response to this card. It may be bulky and time consuming to install if you have a average size case, but man is it worth the effort. I was using a Radeon 4850 prior to this and I can notice huge performance increases in all my games. I would recommend this card to pretty much anyone, but you may blow your budget nevertheless

I'd highly recommend waiting a bit to buy this card as the price will soon drop due to a new kid on the block is coming out to give you something else to consider. I have one so I will buy another as it's one of those times where you either bite the bullet or sell it and spend more for the next kid on the block that will out perform this one. There is one big problem, if you are thinking of reselling this card as some point, you may find it harder to sell because it sells with no warranty,

EXCELLENT video quality and rendering speed. Obviously if you are looking at this card you are interested in gaming or high end video performance. I bought this to replace my 8800GTX and this card is a significant improvement. The 8800GTX couldn't quite get all settings on high and a good resolution. With this card you can literally max out the settings on any game and the highest resolutions and it basically just chugs out 30+ fps regardless. Awesome card!

I purchased this video card because I wanted only the best. I wasn't disappointed. Although I wanted to wait for AMD, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy this card at 450$. It idles at 40 C and never goes over 80 on load, awesome for an high end card. Also with its full body heatsink, its also easier to handle then other video cards of its size.
