I usually prefer Western Digital drives overall, but this was priced well and I needed a new drive for my external SATA drive enclosure. So far, so good. Drive is not audible during file transfers. File transfer speed seems to be above average.

Seagate has a great warranty on their drives versus other vendors. 640GB for $73 on sale is decent value. Haven't tried any benchmarks on it, but it works, and that's the most important thing.

I Like Seagate drives. I have two 500 and just bought two 640's at a very good price $73. So far I have not had any problems. They do what they are supposed to do. I have not had to use the warranty on the other Seagate drives, I hope these are the same. I'd continue buying Seagate drives.

I bought 2 of these drives on the 25 of September, I didn't get them till Oct 4th. When I got them both of them had loud clicking noses and caused my computer to take much longer to boot up. Both of them were from a Thailand plant and I do know that they have been having quality problems from Thailand plants.

to a 15% restocking fee. No refunds will be issued for blank media,

Defective software, video games or DVDs
will be replaced by the SAME title and format ONLY (and subject
