I continue to be impressed with this very nicely priced laptop. The performance rocks, and unlike most laptops, comes with 4G of RAM.

First thing with any new laptop is you want to reformat to get all the manufacturer's crud off of it. The disk Asus provide wants to try re-install all of the original pre-loaded software, but if you run the restore CD *UP TO* where it asks you to insert the driver disc. Just take the first disc out, hit cancel, power off, restart. Vista installation will then continue on like any regular "barebones" install. You're golden.

I really like the look of this laptop. The layout of the keyboard is also very nice. It includes a full numberpad and typing feels good. It only took me a few hours to get used to this keyboard. The price is pretty good compared to the other laptops that I've been looking at.
