For a case that was designed for quiet operation the NZXT Whisper is certainly no slouch when it comes to cooling either. We were very impressed at the numbers when compared to the NZXT Tempest and found the case very roomy and easy to work with.
A while ago the chassis demons from NZXT released their Whisper series of PC cases. A chassis designed to remain quiet under most common circumstances.

I bought this case for a homemade NAS since its one of the few cases I could find that would allow me to accomodate up to 11 x HDD. This is long-term expansion plans not immediately putting to use.
With a micro-ATX motherboard there is also lots of room to reorganize the extra HDD bays to allow for better airflow on the bottom / power-supply compartment.

Summary: Poorly made and designed. Basically a cheap case with a high price tag. Not worth it unless you need lots of drive bays.
Details: I needed this to house 11 hard drives for a file server and do it quietly. The fit on this case is poor. The cover screw holes don't line up. The disk drive bays are warped making some drives loose and susceptible to vibration noise. The front drive bays are too cramped which results in noise due to the drives coming in contact. This can only be remedied by compressing the noise dampening grommets too far. It also severely restricts air flow past the drives. (4 drives at the front instead of 5 would have been perfect.) Despite the cramped 3-1/2" drive bays, a lot of space is wasted in other parts of the case. The cables going to the front ports were poorly routed, blocking one drive bay. They also pulled out of the front connectors when a DVD drive was installed. The screwless system brackets break easily and do not fit or work well for all components. In addition, standard screws are too short. Long screws are supplied for DVD drives but not for devices that require larger screws.

When I received this case the first impression was that it's very big and heavy. Rock solid. Lots of space inside. I actually took out some HDD mounts in exchange for better airflow. Not much people would use all nine HDD bay anyways. The only thing I didn't like was that it doesn't come with a fan speed controller. The case fans were noisy at their max speed. It's easily fixed after I installed a NZXT Sentry LX fan speed controller. Now it looks cool and runs very quiet. Overall a great buy.
