I bought this hard drive because I needed a replacement drive for my old white Apple iBook G3 800 MHz notebook. To my surprise, the whole 160GB was visible! It was not limited to 137GB or 128GB. No complaints here.

Works perfectly in my Powerbook G4 Titanium 1GHz (M8859LL/A). I hand no problems getting the system to recognize the drive and was able to clone over the original filesystem without issue. When I first powered on the machine with the replacement drive installed I thought I had accidentally disconnected a fan -the system was so much quieter! Xbench rates the drive at a little over twice as fast as the two stock Apple drives I have for the system. This drive makes a great upgrade for aging systems.

purchased the hard drive for a replacement in a ps3 the original 80gb hard drive died and this worked great have not had any problems with it. if i do seagate has excellent customer service

I bought this for a old laptop. The great thing about this drive is the performance you will get for the price. Samsung is one of the few companies that updated their IDE hard drives with newer technology. The only other company is Western Digital (if you buy the 320GB model).

picked up the 80 gbs version of this drive to replace a expiered factory toshiba hd. during operation the samsung spinpoint doesn't make much of a peep, is dead silent you will not know its there. speed wise very satisfactory results for 5400 rpm drive. streaming flash video plays smooth no jerkyness. overall a quality purchase, best price would recommend

Needed this for a older emachines laptop, the old Hitachi hard drive crashed. Works great, formats fine, installed OS okay, does what it should.

This drive is a fast and worthwhile upgrade for older laptops using slower (and smaller) IDE drives. Its performance is consistent with what is described in many other online reviews. Fast, quiet, cool.
