Great processor, running this in an ASUS M3N72-D with a GTX275 and 8GB RAM and there seems to be nothing it can't handle. Games play at high quality with next to nothing for loading times. HD movie conversions have been running at about 28frames/sec SD movies at about 200frames/sec. With a Scythe Katana heat sink, at full load it only gets up to about 48degrees which is not bad at all IMHO. Couldn't be happier with it.

Bought this CPU with Asus M3N78-VM motherboard. Works great under Windows XP 32bit and Windows Server 2003. Used it for video conversion the speed was very quick, it was limited by the scalability of the program (not all cores worked to maximum). I have not stressed the cores to their max yet, nor have I oc'ed them yet, but I have no doubt that it has potential.

I bought this CPU for a new budget build and I couldn't be happier! Bought it with a TA790GX 128M mobo from Biostar and it worked out of the box without even a bios update. Love seeing four cores when I open the task manager. Overclocked this to 3.36 with 1.35 volts on stock cooling and its 28 idle and 38-40 under load. This thing is seriouslly fast, reccomended buy for sure.

I currently have this cpu in my asus m3a79-t deluxe, Fairly easy to get it to 3.5ghz using the stock hsf, just bump up the ht ref clock and cpu voltage a bit. GREAT value for the moeny if you dont need the unlocked multi
