Comment: An in-depth review discussing the architecture, die shrink, improvements (and in some cases, downgrades), & a detailed critical analysis of the card itself.

Comment: A fairly interesting review with regards to the die shrink and its performance supposedly being equivalent to the GTX280 in some cases.

Upgrading from a busted Geforce 9800 to a GTX260, which is said to be a small upgrade if you look at FPS charts from playing Crysis, I am totally impressed on how big this upgrade is. If backed up by a decent system, this GPU will really do an awesome job.       » READ MORE

I got this card after my 8800GTS died and I don't regret it for a moment. It offers great performance and is definitely quieter than my previous card.       » READ MORE

I purchased this card after being terribly disappointed with the HD 4890.. What a delight! This card is surely not as highly performing, however it stays much cooler, produces significantly less noise, and most importantly does not produce an electrical squeal/coil noise at all! This makes the card better in my mind, as I personally dislike noise, and video cards that act as ovens.       » READ MORE

I have this card for liek 2 weeks so far and I am LOVING IT! I have overclocked it to 710/1420/1200 with jsut a little bit of effort and it can go higher.fan speed is on 60% (i find it a bit loud) and it doesnt go above 83C on an OCCT burn test (really stressfull so that temp is normal), and doesnt go above 80 on ATI tool, and doesnt go above 75 on crysis all high no AA and on 1920x1200 resoltion. Speaking of crysis... I run crysis on all high 1920x1200 no AA and get around liek 25 fps.       » READ MORE

Purchased just before the latest 4870 1gb price drop, but happy with the performance just the same. Used the Evga software for fan control and the heatsink is quite capable.       » READ MORE

I bought two GTX 260's for my 3 monitors (for playing flight sim). They work quite well, but I have 2 small complaints... 1) When I set the flight sim display option to the max, the game halts with an "out of memory" error after flying for several minutes (system memory is only half used, so I assume it's the graphics card memory). 2) After I've updated to the latest driver, the resolution of the main (24") monitor is automatically reset to 1280x1024 every time windows is started or wake up from standby. I've tried to fix this but to no avail, I ended up rolling back to the old driver.      » READ MORE

Though it was large it fit into my case fine. I love the graphics that it has and it runs my games that I like to play. It's nice to be able to have the high end of the graphics on a game instead of it being medium or less :)      » READ MORE
