Yest another review of this bang-for-the-buck leader, this time from Overclockers Online: Performance of the Hyper 212 Plus is impressive, thanks to the Direct Contact heatpipes. A universal mounting system supports all of the latest AMD/Intel sockets.
This time we tested Hyper 212 Plus CPU cooler from Cooler Master. It is a relatively inexpensive cooler with tower design, 120 mm fan and four heatpipes in CPU direct touch. Let's how it goes in our tests.

Purchased this to deal with a troublesome AMD Phenom 2 black edition CPU. It would get so hot on medium and high loads, causing the stock fan to speed up to the point where it sounds like a hair dryer. Installed the Cooler Master 212 and it dramatically lowered the temperature. According to speedfan, it looks like it lowered it by 10 degrees on full load!
overall I am happy with this cooler seeing as i got it for only $20 if I had the money I would definitely upgrade to a water cooler. For the price it can't be beat.

Bought this to cool my old E8400 because I wanted to overclock it. Eventually upgraded to a new i5-3570k and swapped the Hyper 212 on to it with the same awesome cooling and performance.

The 120mm PWM fan is held in place on the Hyper 212 Evo heatsink with plastic clips. To counteract an unbalanced impeller, which can lead to vibration and rattling noises, small rubber patches are applied to the four corners of the 120mm PWM fan.
This is a heck of a cooler, it really keeps the temperatures down. It moves a lot of air, and pretty reliable so far. If you have an overclocked system, then this is the cooler for you.
