In conclusion, we loved the M4A785TD-M EVO. At a sub-$100 pricepoint, you simply can’t find a better mATX AM3 motherboard. As such, we’re pleased to award it with the Hardware Canucks’ “DAM GOOD VALUE” award. |

7/10 Looking at it pragmatically, the ASUS M4A785TD-V is a well-specified interpretation of 785G that features a decent layout and a number of added extras - SidePort memory, for example - not found on the most budget boards. Pricing, too, is keen, at £70, but we'd like to see a BIOS-saving opt |

8/10 Provided you don't want CrossFireX you'll find that the M4A785TD-V EVO does a very good job at a low price but the sooner Asus comes out with a Micro-ATX version the better. |

8.1/10 If you require a board that has the best flexibility, this full ATX board is definitely the way to go as it supports CrossFire X with external graphics card. The down point would be the lack of push buttons for Power on/off, no clear cmos at the back etc. |

BIOS seems to constantly put new storage devices at the top of the boot list; e.g. if you boot, plug in a USB drive, and reboot, it will reorder your boot devices and try to boot off that USB drive.

for a $100 board you get pretty much everything you get in a more expensive board but for a great price. nice looking heatsinks, no gawdy colours. Unlocked and overclocked my AMD Athlon X3 435 2.9ghz to a quad core 3.48hgz with a few clicks. Great board v a fantastic price point

A great board for a budget build.
I've got mine teamed up with an AMD Athlon II X2 250 (SKU 39336) selected for its low power consumption, and 4GB of G.SKILL memory (SKU 30167) I am very happy with this combo as a general purpose home office computer that is never powered off.

I installed this MOBO with AMD-955 cpu, 4GB G-skill DDR3 rams, windows 7.Everything went very smooth.
I am not a gamer, so the onboard video card does a fine job for me. I am using DVi connection right now, will try out HDMI connection soon. I am also using 5.1 audio from this board, another plus feature.

Great all around budget MoBo with lots of high end features. The BIOS has plenty of options for set up and OC'ing and very user friendly, EZ-Flash works very well and quick with a USB thumb drive. The integrated graphics runs Win 7 Aero with no problems and you can game surprisingly well with all the eye candy obviously turned off. Excellent board for a $100, highly recommended.

I did not really appreciate the location of some of the connectors. Overall though, for its price, this board comes with everything you'd want on-board. Bought two for a client.
