I went from Q6600 v 3.7GHz to the core i5 750 and notice a big difference on programs and games loading quicker. I have this running at 4.02 GHz |1.36 VCore | 1.125 VTT 24/7 with a Heatkiller 3.0/Black Ice GTX480 rad which never goes above 59C hottest core on Intel burn test.

This processor is fast, competitive with the expensive i7 CPUs for fewer than 4 threads. Turbo boost gives it a performance bonus for single or dual-threaded processes. Good for gaming.

the stock cooler is, just as usual, the weakest link. Though, this CPU can easily clock over 3.2GHz with proper cooling. The price is about right for an entry level quad and it matches the higher end quads in the previous generation. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a budget build.

Bought this for my new PC and it's really nice. Performance is great and temperatures are good with an aftermarket heatsink.

Put this in my new rig over the weekend. the MSI GD80 OC for n00bs button immediately took it up to 3.36ghz without battign an eye. I toned it down to 3.0. with the Noctua SE2 cooler on there. everything is running smooth and cool.

I bought this CPU for my new gaming/main computer. Given the temperatures people were getting with the stock fan, I opted for the Coolermaster Hyper 212. I have this running at 3.2ghz (160x20) stable with idle temperatures at low 30's and load temperatures at low 40's. The performance of this chip is incredible, especially for the price. All I can say is that AMD is in trouble when it comes to their high-end line because this smokes anything they offer. My i5 750 will last me for a long time...which is a nice thought given I didn't have to break the bank for it.

I bought this for my new I5 build, and paired it with a gigabyte motherboard that was roughly 90 CAD on sale, everything has been working good so far.
