TechAge review: From a value standpoint, the X4 620 is an incredible offering. The lack of L3 cache means that it excels in some cases, and falls behind in others. Great overclocking headroom.
The price is unbeatable. If we ignore the 630 for a moment, the Athlon II X4 620 is by far the cheapest route to four cores on the market. Intel’s most affordable quad-core is the Core 2 Quad Q8200 at $163, while AMD would previously charge you $163 for a Phenom X4 9600B. This is where the AM3/AM2+

I don't game so I can't tell you about that. I built this system for a small business. It works great and is fast. I installed with windows 7 and it is very responsive and fast. No overheating problems. Very satisfied.

Super cheap deal, better bang for the buck than the Intel Q8300 or Q8400. Perfect CPU for the price, the cpu is cool and it works well even with the stock cooling fan.

I got just what I expected with this chip. I have it on a cheap Asus mobo and it runs fine - cooler than what I thought it would run with the chincy stock HSF. Great for a budget build when on sale.

Bought this for a budget build and this is really a good bargain, quad core speed for only a little more than 100$. Cool'n quiet really works great, lowering it at 800MHz and is still responsive. It stays cool at 33°C at idle but I didn't tried with load since it's not my PC.

if you're not using this for a gaming rig, the lack of the l3 cache won't matter much. runs on par with my other intel q6600 cpu, for half the price

I bought this processor as part of a bundle with the ASUS M4A79XTD-Evo mb. The processor is an AACYC AC 0937 version. After I update d the MB BIOS to 0605, I unlocked the L3 cache. I can overclock the CPU to 3.2 ghz. I only had to up the DDR3 voltage on my G. Skill Ripjaws. This processer is a very good deal for a budget gaming computer. Quad core, 6 mb L3 cache and 3.2 ghz.

This cpu is great quad core. It can pretty much keep up with a lot of cpus out of its price range. The lack of a L3 cache is not significant. There are a lot of peoiple who unlocked the L3 only to see that the performance is really not that different. I think what they should do is come out with an athlon II with no l3 cache but with a pci-E controller instead, that would be sick.

Purchased this along with a Gigabyte AM3 785G DDR3 motherboard and some Crucial DDR3-1333 RAM for a new budget build. Installed and system booted up first try. No issues with it so far. Great quad-core CPU at a really great price.

This is a great product for me because it is a cheap entry into the quad core rigs. Most of the customers I have don't really need anything super fast but would like to run multiple apps without slowdowns.

Upgraded from a athlon x2 5000+ to this, the performance increases is not so significant but I do see that my computer is more responsive. Cheapest quad core cpu iv seen on the market so far and it's compatible with my Asus m3a78 pro after a quick bios update. The temperature is decent it runs stable at 2.76Ghz.
