I purchased this product for my new AMD based system. I am running a 1920x1200 display with a quad core phenom II and thus feel the extra power (graphically speaking) is not wasted.

This GPU is simply amazing, I upgraded to this card from my X1950 Pro and it blew me away, I NEVER thought I could see games run so smooth! The GPU is quiet and cool when you run it stock but if you start tweaking the settings it will get VERY hot and loud. This card is great but one thing that upset me when I installed it was a lack of XP support. fortunately It works perfectly on XP with the vista drivers.

This card destroys almost any game on the market right now without breaking a sweat. It's a fairly long card at 11.5" but if you can afford it and it will fit in your case it is a phenomenal video card. It will melt your face off if you use Eyefinity.

Got this card to replace an older HD 4890, and it’s a great upgrade. Frame rates are good when playing at 1920x1200 with AA. The current drivers are RC, but they work great in most games. The card is also very quiet when compared to older ATI models. You need to be carful with your case selection since this card is really long.

just got this card few days ago, took out the 295, launched this in for some reviewing. I noticed that this doesn't really out perform the geforce 295, i did notice a difference right away with the DirectX11 on windows, but since no games our directX 11 yet, i wasn't able to play around with it's power much. Did grab 35-40FPS On high settings with crysis, and this was stable at around 38FPS Most of the time, so i do appreciate this card, it's multi monitor features are very attractive, however ATI is gonna have to step it up a little because Nvidia's new line is going to STOMP.

I have a weakness for new video cards. So here i am. The performance is great and the idle power use is low. Since my computer is not always playing games, this is a welcome feature. The card temperatures are also very low for a video card of this power.

I got this 3 days ago, have it overclocked to 900mhz and 1300mhz memory, GPU score in 3dmark vantage is 16682. Crysis gets me 35-45 fps on 1920x1200 with 4x AA. TF2 is awesome at 220+fps haha. This card is ridiculously powerful compared to the 8800gts it replaced. Rest of specs are:

Although I was not the one who owned this Radeon 5870, that did not change the fact that I know what it was like. The ATI Radeon 5870 is a, straight to the point, amazing card. Giving any computer the graphics processing power of a goliath on crack, it is also with great power consumption, a nice quiet fan, and last but not least, great temperature control. If you're going to get any card, this is the one for you.
