Pros
- Lots of parameter control in BIOS
- Looks sharp
- Lots of features
- Supported my Phenom 1055T (after BIOS update)
Cons
- Sound card goes into high-impedance mode when no programs use it for a couple minutes. This creates an audible hum out of my speakers (home theatre amp). I think this started when I used the most recent drivers.
- There are a lot of status bidplays after POST before Windows even begins booting (SATA bios, LAN boot bios) - adds 30 seconds to bootup time. (Can't figure out how to disable them)
Summary
For the price, great mobo. Not the newest generation chipset, even at the time I bought it, but still has plenty of options in BIOS - fan speed, frequencies and voltages.

When I bought it I was having memory issues. To not waste time, I RMA'd the RAM and the MB. The MB was found not defective and ASUS sent it back to me without charge, quickly. I had a good experience with their tech support.

System specs:

Phenom II 1055T with Corsair H60 liquid-cooling
4x2GB Corsair XMS3 1333MHz 9-9-9-24 RAM
nVidia 9800GT + 6600GT OC
500GB WD Caviar Blue + 2x640GB WD Caviar Black (RAID 1)
OCZ StealthXstream 2 650W PSU
Thermaltake V3 case

Pros
- Works great
- Has an IDE slot if you need it
Cons
- None worth mentioning
Summary
I got this for my last build. Everything works fine. The layout is alright. I've had mobos with terrible layouts before. Stuff like RAM slots being too close to the CPU, so heat sinks cover them and all that jazz. But none of those problems here.

I mainly got this for the one IDE slot. I have an old drive that I wanted to use for my new computer, and this let me do that without external solutions. So if you're looking for that, this is a good choice.

Pros
-Excellent price
-does 8x/8x PCI-E
-supports newest phenom 6-cores
-eSATA
Cons
-no usb3
Summary
Overall an excellent and stable board. No issues upon install whatsoever. Bought for ~$80 as compared to $50-$100 more for a board that includes essentially nothing more than USB3 and a few other features.

Pros
price, board quality
Cons
outdated model
Summary
this is a really nice quality board, but it's a little bit outdated. but if you're not worried about sata3 or other features, then it should be fine.

Reasonably priced
DDR3 ram
Cons

Summary
Bought along with a AMD P II x4 965 for a cheap gaming build, and it does the job. Haven't tried overclocking with it yet, but have read reviews its easy and compatible.

Pros
Lots of features
CPU unlocking ability
Cons
Features don't work well together
Summary
I bought this for a personal build based on unlocking and overclocking a Phenom II x3 720 BE. Unlocking a core (either a working and defective core) was easy and painless. Overclocking was just as easy.

I used the fake-raid capabilities of this board to stripe 2 500gb drives for my primary drive. This causes the Asus Express Gate to fail to load and needed to be disabled in the bios.

When attempting to boot from the raid drive the motherboard will say that no hard drives are detected but then boot. This adds about 3 secs to the start up time.

If I connect a HDD to the second SATA channel the motherboard will attempt to boot from that drive and fail without attempting to boot from the raid drive.

Pros
Great look
Lots of options (BIOS, overclocking)
Plenty of ports
Good SW support
Cons
Not for smaller cases
Tidy wiring a must
Summary
This is a great looking board (black board with blue/black plastics and stylish blue heatsinks) and has great support SW and options to overclock or just fine tune your settings for your system.

It's a full ATX board so not for all cases but great for the price considering the options you get. I only had two concerns: making sure my wiring was as tidy as possible (why wouldn't you anyways) to reach where I needed it to and and that the Q connector (for the front panel wires) doesn't connect snugly to the MB.

The Q connector was the biggest annoyance, with my front panel wires running down the side of my case (HTC case, MB lays flat) and anytime I moved the case cover (u-shaped so putting it on or taking it off) it moved the Q connector too. The front panel wires stayed connected nicely to the connector but the connector just didn't ever seem tight so I'm always checking it anytime I adjust my case.

Other than that, I've been impressed by all the plusses this case provides and would recommend it highly, especially for a standard oriented case.

Pros
very reasonably priced board.
crossfire ready
easy to install
with upto date bios cpu list and functions are great
Cons
unless you update  to latest bios then limited to cpus and functions
Summary
for the price ,this crossfire ready board is real contender
and the use of ddr3 ram speeds things up considerably.
the only draw back i have with board is not being able to utilize the pci-x 1 slots due to location in proximity to graphics ports

Pros
Price to feature ratio
Typical Asus quality
Crossfire
Cons
None that I can see
Summary
The only negative was had to flash the bios to get it to work with the 1100T chip. Also had to adjust the bios to get it to recognize the 1600 ram. Outside of those two very minor instances this board has been absolutely rock solid. Very impressed

Summary
Rock solid quality, with pretty good price
Great performance with my Phenom II 955
By the way, Dual 8x PCIE is enough for Crossfire
Almost no difference with Dual 16x in actual application

Comment: Very positive tech radar review. Apparently, this board oc's better than Asus' and Gigabyte's 790FX boards.
