Installed this OS on my netbook, runs like a champ. Very good looking OS, easy to use, easy to understand and learn. Went from XP to 7 without going to Vista, so the learning curb was small.

I was waiting for this for a long time. I have been on XP since the beta days and I was a beta tester for Win7 as well. Installation took 17 minutes on my Vertex SSD. Except for a very old webcam and my ATI 550 TV tuner, everything was recognized. Intel has dropped support for PCI nics so I had to buy a new PCI express nic to replace it. So far this thing is super stable and I love it!

I jumped from XP Pro 32bit to Windows 7 Pro 64bit, built the computer myself and installed the operating system without any issues. The look of Win 7 is much better then XP, lots of new features that make working with multiple files and programs a breeze. I would recomend this operating sytem to anyone. I have had no issues with any of my graphics and mapping software, even the 32 bit stuff installs and runs perfectly.

Great design and Microsoft don't always go together, but they do in Windows 7. Some users might take a while to get used to the new taskbar and Aero Peek, but they're a pleasure to use. Much better alternative/upgrade to Vista.

Seems to be a tweaked Vista64 to me. Other than Alcohol 120% needing to be updated, everything that ran on my Vista64 Ultimate worked flawlessly. Very Impressed how well XP mode works for older windows programs, especially ripping and copying software or 32bit programs that just dont run on a 64bit system... I love how the desktop background can essentially be a slide show. If you have a projector, desktop cloning is back. Multi-media streaming with multiple computers and devices, its just amazing! Its a geeks dream come true! Its not any faster or slower than my Vista64 Ultimate, uses about 200mb less... If you have a projector and a mean home theater, you can't go wrong with this operating system. In my opinion its Vista64 with alot better multimedia capabilities. For that reason alone its worth the cost. I'm not sure how this works, but Vista64 takes up 47gigs, whereas Win7 takes up 26gigs, same programs installed, drives cleaned etc....

I've been using it since the RC came out in may. Great operating system, feels responsive and noticeably faster than Vista. Very attractive too. Overall, it feels like a very good release.

I've had this OS for a few months since I discovered it on my school's MSDNAA. It was a huge step up from the RC for me, the memory footprint when down from 37-40% on boot to less than 30%. There are some amazing new productivity features included like stacks on the superbar (if you pin windows explorer, you can set your favourite folders like music, school documents, and etc). Aero snap is incredibly useful if you want to have a PDF running so you can read off of it and have Word open beside it, super speedy pinning!
