The C12P SE14 will not allow you to achieve the ultimate overclock but it will allow you to keep your rig quiet while providing better than good cooling.
A good heatsink that's going to fit in more cases despite it's size. It's quiet and very easy to mount. Just don't be surprised if it doesn't do any monster cooling,

I like that it provides some additional airflow down on the motherboard and I've oriented the fan to help move air over my RAM. It isn't much but it helps by a few degrees and every little bit counts. RAM in the first slot of my motherboard(Asus Z77 Sabertooth) is inaccessible with this heatsink installed. I knew this would be the case but it is an inconvenience that should be noted. Won't be an issue once everything is installed unless you end up monkeying with the RAM frequently.
Great heatsink. Have been using it for more than two years. At first I wasn't getting the results I was hoping for, but then I found out my MB upped the voltage on my phenom ii 965 BE and my case had garbage airflow. Replaced the case and lowered the voltage to 1.375. Temps are low.

Fits just fine in my mATX build, surprisingly. Cools my 2500k quietly at 25-30c idle, 50-55c max load. Noctua has never failed to impress me.

I put it on my PhenomII x6 which was running at 43 idle, 50 under load. Once I replaced the original HS and put the Noctua SE14 my temps went to 38 idle, 45 under load. 5 deg difference was nice but the big difference was that I wasn't hearing the stock fan winding anymore! The new fan is quiet even under load, you also have options to put an in line resistor to slow down the Noctua fan to make it even quieter but it's quiet as is.
This cooler is very very good for its purpose, but installing it is very tricky (thermal paste and the mounting of the heatsink is very difficult with those odd metal hooks).
Installation can be tricky. Make sure to install the base before mounting the motherboard. I had unmount and reinstall the mainboard without reading the complete instruction for the cooler. Wished they had it in BOLD in and as the first line of instruction.

Great cooler, absolutely awesome performance with next to no audible noise. Keeps my i7 2600K idling at 28-33 C, and at 4 GHz (VCore at 1.2V), keeps it just under 57 C. That being said, the cooler is fairly massive, so you should check the clearance before purchasing (my G.Skill Ripjaws-X memory clears it fine, but I have to re-seat the heatsink if I want to remove one of the modules or add more DIMMs).

I was a bit "forced" into buying this cooler, as most other ones are far bigger, and there were risks that they wouldn't fit in a CM 690 II Advanced case with side fans installed, and I didn't have the case in hand to check. As I planned on using 2 side fans, I wanted to reuse the fan that comes with the cooler as a 140mm case fan. Also, I bought this as a combo with the i5 2500k, which was very cheap.
