Today we are going to follow up on our original CoolIT ECO review. Dave originally tested this compact liquid cooling solution on an Intel platform and achieved great results. In our follow up we will be testing the CoolIT ECO on an AMD system powered by the Phenom II 940BE processor as well as the
Today we will be taking a look at our second review sample from CoolIT the ECO A.L.C. CPU cooler. Previously we had reviewed the Domino A.L.C. a few years back, and interested about what improvements have been made. The original Domino A.L.C. provided an affordable liquid cooling solution and we fou

Picked up just cuz it was an amazing deal. Performs as well as any high end air cooler but at a fraction of the cost. Very quiet at idle, and not too bad on load either. Usually i'm not a fan of single rad sealed water cooling systems, but at $30, not a hard decision.
I have built a lot of water cooling systems, fabricated my own blocks out of moldmax and all kinds of exotic materials. This unit boggles my mind in terms of efficiency. It is great. If you have never watercooled before this unit or other similar sealed units will make you a customer. Most of Google's servers run off water cooling but they are retarded in effiecient because they dont use a system like this. It is a classic case of success blinding the players to the fact that they have solved the wrong problem, anyway. This little unit is awesome Coolit is the premium implimentor. However, if you have custom watercooled before, this thing is upsetting, It is unachievable in the diy in terms of price per thermal drop but the diy world is 100 times better and funner. Really I think this and similar units puts all air cooling reviews obsolete. after mounting Noctura's in many production cases. I'll take units like this everytime. I give this five and the H-100 four. This unit isn't lower temp but it is way better. Huge value, goodbye Coolit, see you on the server side when the geriatrics catch up. Make it white and call it Icool and maybe the CEO will bust into the IT closet and claim we have to water cool. ha ha ha ha
Got this unit on sale to replace the stock cooler on my Phenom x4 9750, and what a difference right off the hop! Idling went down from 43-46 to 35, and load while gaming went down from 64-67 to 47-49...and I haven't added a 2nd fan to the radiator yet, these results are for right out of the box. Highly recommended for those (like me) who are on the fence about trying a liquid cooling solution (and the price point doesn't hurt either).
I got this cooler on sale and what a bargain. It is very good at keeping the temperatures down. I average 19C idling and 39C after an hour running OCCT. That's with my CPU overclocked 30% from 2800MHz to 3639MHz. As a note however, I did buy a Coolermaster R4-L2R-20AC 120MM Blue LED Case Fan to install on the radiator in addition to the included fan for a push/pull configuration. This makes the stock cooler MUCH more effective. I cant tell you results with the stock cooler. But for the price of a good 120mm fan, the boost it gives this cooler is much worth it. Google will provide bench results of a single fan VS a push/pull config. It's worth it. It was easy to install, even with bad instructions. Comes with all adapters necessary for most CPU types. FYI! It does not include additional fan screws if you do try the 2 fan install. I am very happy with it so far.
