Pros
6 Cores
Reasonable price
Good for multimedia transcoding
Cons
Stock cooler loud at higher CPU usage
Summary
This is a great AMD processor with 6 cores which I have only utilized during HD video transcoding. This CPU transcoded roughly 1 hour worth of HD video in about 30 minutes. My old dual core computer would probably take 4-6 hours to do the same!
Very impressed and I never get over 20 % of CPU use during normal computing. When the CPU usage is higher, the stock cooling is kind of loud, though.
Nevertheless, highly recommended.

Pros
Price
6 CORES!
Cons
Locked Multiplier
Summary
I got this in a bundle with a Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 MOBO on NCIX boxing week sale. There was no problem installing this CPU into my new build. It has a decent cooler included with thermal paste already on, ready to go, however I didnt use the stock cooler with this CPU. I bought a Coolit Systems Eco CPU Water Cooling System instead. I installed this stock cooler on my old machine that had an old stock cooler on it and I can say that it dropped the temp from ~50C idle to ~35C idle. So it must be OK. I must say that this CPU is great! Stock speeds are only 2800MHz but it can be overclocked quite well. Paired with my new liquid cooler I overclocked to 3639MHz very easily and I see no problem going further. At the current clock speed, I'm idling at ~19C and under the OCCT stress test for 1 hour I maxed at about 40C. FYI. This CPU's multiplier is locked so it has to be OCed by adjusting the bus speed and tweaking the other multipliers. I love the multitasking capabilities of 6 cores. All my video editing has received considerable improvements in speed and gaming is much better. I recommend this CPU.

Pros
Amazing little processor! I haven't even used it to it's full capacity and I've been running brand new games at high or ultra settings! It's very fast and as I got it in a bundle with my msi 870a fuzion, it's works in such harmony.
Cons
None.

Pros
Fast, great for multitasking, and not a slouch in single core intensive programs (like gaming and HD video).
Cons
Not an i7
Summary
This processor is more than adequate for every day and advanced users. Its great for HD video with background processes like torrents, and browser windows. Its also good for gaming, (Battlefield 3 and Starcraft II work really well on Medium to High settings). The downside of course is that this is not as blazing fast as a newer Intel Chip in the i5 or i7 line-up but the pricing more than reflects this and I would buy it again.

Pros
Works fine and fast
Cons
heat sink is loud
Summary
This was really hard to install on my mobo. The cpu was easy the heat sink was extremely difficult. I had to use a ton of force to get the fan on right. The heat sink is a little loud too. Other then that works fine.

Pros
Fast and losts of cores.
Cons
None
Summary
I got this to upgrade from a 3800 dual core and this is a very nice improvement especially when rendering video. I very easily overclocked to 3.8 and will try for 4 ghz when I have more time.

Cons
None
Summary
Easy install, super fast, and comes with a heatsink with paste already applied, and although I didn't use it with this one, it came in handy on an older machine. Well worth the money spent

Pros
fast, cheap
Cons
none
Summary
This is an excellent processor for the price. How can you go wrong? 6-cores, 6 threads for under $200.00. I would love to see if Intel can do that. Intel's 980X is triple the price if not quadruple. Good for overclocking even though it does not have an unlocked multiplier like the 1090T BE.

Pros
Quick, cool running with basic aftermarket cooler, easy 4GHz overclock, decent stock cooler (didn't use though), turbo core is a neat idea (also not using)
Cons
Can't think of any, the thing rocks.
Summary
Easily got 4GHz on all 6 cores after disabling turbo core. Runs cool with Xigmatec s1283 (~43*C idle, ~61*C full load u4GHz). Voltage seems to be all over the map but that could be due to motherboard. Skyrim plays beautifully maxed out paired with one GTX 460. What more could I ask for.

Comment: AMD will be AMD -- bringing bang for buck to the table. Seriously .. did anyone expect a six-core CPU that starts at just 199 USD ? That just staggers me, value for money is what AMD is about and their track record is certainly exceeding them with the release of Phenom II X6 CPUs.

Comment: The AMD Phenom II X6 processor series has been long needed and has helped narrow the performance gap between AMD and the Intel Core i7 processors by the release of these new 'Thuban' based processors.

Comment: The Phenom II X6 is an interesting proposition as it's meant to provide heavy multi-tasking performance on a budget.

Comment: Frankly, AMD have done an ACE job with these new processors. The results really do speak for themselves. In applications that utilize more than four threads, the new Phenom II X6 is generally a phenomenal performer, leaving the Phenom II X4's in the dust and nearly always competitive with the ma

Comment: Applications like video encoding and offline 3D rendering show the real strengths of the Phenom II X6. And thanks to Turbo Core, you don't give up any performance in less threaded applications compared to a Phenom II X4. The 1090T can easily trump the Core i7 860 and the 1055T can do even better
