Experience: 3 Months
Pros
Powerful (for 3 months)
Cons
Die after 3 months
Summary
I bought that PSU and I tought it was a good one. But after 3 months, he died while I was playing and my video card (Nvidia GTS 250) died because of this PSU. Never buy from OCZ again. Worst experience ever. 3 stars because with worked well the first months.

Pros
This power supply has been installed and did operate out of a UPS for the whole duration I owned it. It died unexpectedly on me within 4 months of receiving it.

Cost to ship for RMA being prohibitive, I consider this was a very bad investment. I consider that I got robbed on this one.

Experience: 8 Months
Pros
lasted me 8 months before dying
Cons
kept on making this annoying reptitive ding ding ding sound against its own metal casing.
Summary
I picked this up on sale for my first computer build project. it was inexpensive (something like 60 bucks from ncix after MIR) and had 1000W (bigger the better?). anyways i got it working but it would fight me by turning off at least opportune moments (middle of lab reports or matlab assignments or right before save points).

all in all it did last me 8 months but is that what we are supposed to expect for refurb products? i know shouldnt blame ncix but man this OCZ PSU was a piece of junk when it came to reliability. No thanks for selling it to your customers.

Experience: 4 Months
Pros
Low price, recycled 750W boxes?
Cons
Completely unreliable, scratched out of the box
Summary
Do not make the error of buying those units. I bought 3, (I'm a reseller) and the 3 units came back in less than 4 months.

2 were completely blown off, 1 incurred instability on the system.

Good price, but not worth the high risk of braking something else in your system. Complete rip off.

I have nothing against OCZ PSU, but this refurbished model is no good.

Experience: 6 Months
Pros
none in the end
Cons
$40 I should have put into a proper PSU gone as mine just failed but seems to be expected from OCZ PSU and being refurb so I can't complain on that front
Summary
As many have posted this is a pretty unreliable PSU and seems a lot fo feedback is steer clear of OCZ PSU's. Won't be buying OCZ PSU this time. Would probably rate it more like 2 stars if I could find my order ID

Experience: 1 Months
Pros
Still works.
Cons
Cables aren't modular
Summary
I've had this PSU for a little over a month, still works. It's relatively quiet. I use it to power an 4.2ghz 2500k, OCed twin frozr 560 ti, 1 SATA2 HDD

Pros
Cheap way to get 1000 watts
Cons
Doesn't last very long, break down seems inevitable.
Summary
Both power supplies broke on me within two months. I got them pretty cheap with a rebate. Not even worth the cost or hassles of shipping out for warranty, have heard the replacement last just as long. Will never buy another OCZ power supply or any other OCZ product again. Very disappointed about these power supplies.

Pros
Great Price / Great Warranty
Cons
Didn't Last long
Summary
Picked up two of these units at the same time, one is still working great and the other packed it in after about 6 weeks.
Can't really complain with a price like that..
UPDATE: Second one packed it in the same way at about 4 months

This review was modified by poster l 10-21-11 06:54 PM

the two units I ordered both died. OCZ replaced the first one with a new OCZ 1000 ZX a much nicer power supply. the second has just been sent out on RMA. I would definitely buy again based on the great warranty replacement..

Pros
Works well, remains quiet (can't hear it over haf 932 case fans, which are not loud), support for 2-4 video cards (depending on plugs required).
Cons
Not modular
Summary
Paid $60 for this psu, have had zero issues with it. My stepfather, and gaming buddy all run it as well. It was not my first choice but I could not pass up the price, will be going with XFX when I rebuild next time.
PSU runs entire build flawlessly, no issues.

Pros
Cheap, lots of power and connectors
Cons
Died after 3 months of light use
Summary
I was weary to buy a refurb, and I guess should have listened to my gut. This came all scratched up and the stickers were all messed up.

Worked great for 3 months of light use then randomly died. I wont be buying a refurb again. Not even worth the money to RMA, I wouldn't trust another one of these.

Comment: Whatever the initial longevity problem was with these power supplies (they usually failed gracefully but in a very short time), I'm sure it has been resolved in these refurbs. As you can see from this review, their operating performance is stellar.
