Experience: 3 Months
great color
matte screen
no adjustable height
this monitor is actually pretty good, when it's around half it's price. they have different setting such as user, movie, text, and photo. the black on this monitor looks very nice as well as the whites. overall feature, not too bad, you have a dvi, hdmi, and vga output available.

But i would really like to see this come with an adjustable height stand

best monitor I've ever had. It's an IPS at a very reasonable price; 3 input ports.
would recommend to a friend with high confidence.

Great price mark.
Excellent monitor.
Power touch button sometimes doesn't turn on when touched.
Overall, this product is great. Colors are excellent and great for gaming. No ghosting at all.

Awesome colour reproduction
The response time hasn't been an issue, but I don't use it for fast action games
Got it for $164.99 with the $155 instant rebate. That's a lot of bang for the buck.
Haven't run across any cons as of now.
This model is supposedly plagued with dead and/or stuck pixels. The unit I received has no malfunctioning pixels. Some reviewers have mentioned light leakage around the edges and particularly at the corners: If it is present on my monitor it's minor enough not to even notice.

Good Build, Excellent colours and viewing angles, Great value, multiple inputs
Back light bleed clearly visible in dark images. Also causes somewhat negligible uneven back lighting.
The panel sits great on my desk. It is quite sleek and the build is great for the price point. The viewing angles and colours are awesome too. As expected of an IPS display.

My only concern was the back lighting issue. On a black screen, you will notice the back light bleed through the screen near the edges. You won't really be able to tell, if you are in a well lit environment and are looking at bright images or video. Its something I didn't expect from an IPS display which is considered by most to be a premium technology.

I won't recommend this to someone who is looking for a near perfect premium display. But it will more than suffice for any home user and casual image/video editing or gaming. The colours and response times are great and the full HD 1080p for a 22" screen provides for sharp images and text !

Very little ghosting.
Stand tilts up and down.
Great viewing angles.
Great colour reproduction.
Slim monitor, but the stand is a little deep.
Not a fan of the peach colouring on the stand neck.
I was weary of buying an IPS monitor because of the response time. After hooking it up and playing a few games I realized that the ghosting is almost identical to my 2ms TN panel. This has a brighter screen with better colour reproduction and viewing angles compared to a TN panel with near equal performance in games. I'd recommend this monitor to purchase on sale. Mine was $169 During this final September week deal.

-Beautiful colours
-All the other good stuff that comes with an IPS panel
-Touch buttons are a bit weird, no markings as to what they are until you tap one
-Stand isn't the nicest, but you'll be staring at the screen all the time so no worries there
Great monitor. I have never used any high level IPS panels, but this one is very nice. No ghosting or anything on Crysis 2. Have it next to an led lcd 120hz and they look great together, nothing about one that would annoy me that the other doesn't do.

Bought this on sale and it's splendid
I bought this on sale for $199.99 and it's awesome in my opinion, you do have to adjust a little the colors but you'll get a couple of web sites with some profiles for this. I'm gaming a little with it too and it's very good at it.

Viewing angle is amazing
Contrast, very sharp image
Sensitive touch control buttons
Factory calibration not for photo editing, even in sRGB mode
External power outlet
Color profile from the LG website is totally messing the image, gamma too low
This is a very good monitor that you can have fun to fine tune exactly to what you prefer. Personnally, I adjusted the britness in sRGB mode to 10 to make it less intense for the eyes and have a better luminance match of the pictures I print in a professional lab.

-amazing mid range color contrast
-great for gaming
-photos show more detail than any TN monitor I have ever used. Images simply have more depth and find detail than my Samsung PX2370 1080P screen.
-movies look better; even DVD movie
-contrast levels in some games are clearly improved, some maps in the game Killing Floor showed clear improvement in beams of light, floor texture details and deeper color levels
-images where banding was clearly visible with color artifacts with my Samsung PX2370 were greatly reduced to barely visible banding without noticing color artifacts
-back light levels are rather good with slight light bleed on the bottom right and a touch on the bottom left corners of the screen (better than most)
-great viewing angles compared to TN panels
-very little ghosting, comparable to a 2ms TN panel
-good resolution scaling for gaming when using lower than 1080P
-only 60Hz however image movements appear more fluid compared to 2ms panel (mostly likely due to how response is acting) smooth transitions verses sharp movements? I think it's most likely what overdrive in the 2ms panel does to speed up pixel response.
-16.7 million colors but their appears to be more colors than a regular 16.7 listed TN panel
-no dead or stuck pixels
-can't seem to get bright whites without losing in the dark levels or visa versa (Bright whites hurts my eyes so the semi bright white works great for me)
-settings aren't best for color and contast out of the box (out of the box white are dim and black levels aren't great but easily fixed)
-like TN panels it has some light bleeding but less than most other than panels
-Only 60Hz max refresh rate like most other screens that aren't 120Hz (3D ready).
This is the best LCD screen I have used, the image settings out of the box were somewhat off and clearly off with any preset other than warm. Changed color temp to "user" set red to 56, Green to 59, blue to 56 results in a slightly saturated level which is great for games 46, 49, 46 is likely almost perfect for accuracy. Though screens may not be all the same in this regard for example Digital says set green to 41 and blue to 41 which was clearly way off.

for whites while having great black levels the best settings appear to be contrast 60, gamma 2.0 is best 2.2 was a little too dark. For brightness the lower the better; I run at 35% brightness levels.

The viewing angles are great, gaming is also great tried Mass Effect 2 and Killing Floor. Firewalker mission from the DLC when the quakes happen after you enable the sensors and everything shakes even the image of the ship you are flying shakes. With this screen I could tell where the ship was centered within the shaking but on my 2ms TN panel it was so jumpy I had to stop flying at each quake it was too hard to focus. In Killing Floor the monsters were easier to to spot, the contrast levels within the colors helped greatly verses any other TN panel I've used.

Resolution scaling - both screens are 1080P but this screen clearly does better at other resolutions. I can finally play Mass Effect 2 in full screen at 1600x900 (very small black borders on the top and bottom but looks well scaled but horrible for desktop res blurry) without having the characters looking short and wide or at 1680x1050 (16:10 verses 16:9) and it still looks good full screen and does not black out any part of the screen at that res when in Mass Effect 2.

I do not know if this monitor is a true 8 bit IPS, some say the cheaper price is because it is 6bit color. However what I do know is I set up both screens side by side in clone mode and the IPS clearly had more vivid colors especially in the fine detail within images I had taken with my digital camera.

It would be hard to think of ever going back to a TN panel, the PX2370 was the best out of the 3 others I had in recent years and this LG panel is clearly better. The biggest down fall was the image out of the box, read reviews and expected this. Printed some high quality photo print outs and used a gray scale bar with white to grays to black transitions for setting up my colors and contrast. The whites aren't super bright like the PX2370 while maintaining the black levels however the mid gray contrasts and color contrast is way better. Also the whites are the same levels as my previous 3 panels before so it shouldn't be of concern. The difference is a white gloss paint verses a white semi gloss paint.

Screen doesn't look glossy, which I am very happy about. Glossy screens can sometimes have too much reflection, no noticeable reflections. Only has tilt but with good viewing angles this really shouldn't be an issue. Base of screen has rubber feet that do a good job of preventing the screen from slipping on a surface. If monitor is pushed on top corner there is a bit of wobble of mount to screen but not the base itself.

There is a blue light on bottom right corner when on and flashes slowly when on stand which luckily isn't overly bright, unlike the one on my old Samsung PX2370.
