Experience: 4 Years
Pros
Stable OS
Fast
Cons
Missing some key features
Summary
XP Home is quite stable and runs pretty fast compared to Vista. However, it's missing some features such as connecting to Domains, and now and then you want to do something and you realize it can't, because only Professional edition has it.

Pros
Great OS by Microsoft.
User friendly interface with a new look.
Easy network sharing.
Cons
None compared to Vista.
Summary
What can I say? This is Windows XP. One of the greatest OS ever created by Microsoft. Not a lot flaws, but of course there are some. In my honest opinion XP support should not stop!

Pros
Faster then all Windows O/s.
Cons
Non noted.
Summary
Windows Xp seems to be really good and better then all Windows Operating systems to be yet made. Needs less ram, less CPU, less space, less everything then Vista.

Pros
-Good for people who can't get used to Vista...
-It's XP. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing special about it either
-Doesn't use up as much memory as Vista for old pc's
-Cheaper than Vista
Cons
-Inferior to Vista overall
Summary
Got this for my mom's pc since she's one of them people who doesn't like to try new things (Vista anyone?). Anyways, this is a great OS and everything, its just a lil old and there's absolutely nothing about it that should make you want it more than Vista other than maybe the price. I say go with Vista, but if that's out of the question, this would be second best.

Cons

Summary
Great os for doing simple things like web browsing and watching the odd movie. Doesn't compare to vista really.

Pros
Nice Clean Install.
Solid ...No Problems !
Cons
One Time Only Install .
Summary
I'm Impressed !
I put together a build(pc) and XP Home OEM SP3 installed seemlessly . No BSODs,hangs, or lag whatsoever .
Alot better than XP Home OEM SP1 . All the Service Packs (1-2-3) are automatically installed . Took about 45 mins.(>/<)to fully install (unattended)... Not bad .
BUT DO NOT FORGET ! THIS IS OEM ... MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD AND RELIABLE BACKUP SOFTWARE ! This is a One Shot Deal ...
Install , Activate , Backup . Then update  , and Backup . Then work on setting it up just the way you like (look&feel) , and Backup !

Pros
- Simple to use
- compatible with mostly all software out
- Price
Cons
- no support for dx10
- recognize less than 4 GB of ram
Summary
I wanted to get 4GB of ram, but I heard that XP usually reads about 3-3.5GB of ram, so I went with 2 for now. I was going to go with vista but heard about some compatibility issues with some software, so I went with XP in the end.

Only recognizes a chunk of my 4gb of Mushkin, but I am unwilling to go to Vista yet
Summary
I am still a strong supporter of windows XP and I have never had any major problems with it, and for $90 who can complain

Pros
Secure, Easy to work with, and cheaper than Vista
Cons
Microsoft pulling out support. Hard to find copies
Summary
I bought this operating system, and it is GREAT!. Unless you want to spend the $$$ for Vista Ultimate, this is the better of the two.
