My drive came with the latest firmware but make sure you check you drive before you load it with anything. This seems like a really bad flaw to me!

Bought this around christmas, was always too busy and never knew what I was to expect from my SSD, until I got around to it this weekend. Turns out my Green Cavier had a better read/write speed. I was getting choke ups, read speed of 190, write speed of 19 (both in mb/s).

I bought this drive originally to serve as a boot drive for my desktop. The first drive I had, had issues being recognized in the BIOS, and I could never complete a windows installation on the drive without it locking up (I left windows it alone for a day and nothing happened...). I ended up RMAing the drive (which NCIX did an awesome job of, as always), got the second one and even managed to get a full install of windows 7 on it. Unfortunately, I ended up with the same problems of the drive not being recognized in my BIOS. I updated my BIOS, unplugged existing storage drives, tried everything I could to get it to work, with no success. Since my sister was around for Christmas, I tried to install it on her similarly aged netbook (2-3 years old). To my surprise, it worked, perfectly. Since it worked, I couldn't justify sending it back to NCIX as defective, and I left the drive in her netbook as a Christmas gift.
