Pros Inexpensive, substantial protective, appealing, comes with 3 pre-installed fans (2 140mm and 1 120mm), easy to open, unscrew...etc., HD audio
Cons Can't replace slot covers, pseudo-USB 3.0, can't mount liquid cooler without removing top (permanently), lazily manufactures (bare-minimum steel construction), pseudo-thermometer
Summary Two of the three biggest problems with this case were mentioned a lot in the review; irreplaceable rear covers and how the USB 3.0 is really just two cables that run to the back and plug into the motherboard's USN 3.0 headers, rather than directly into the motherboard. But what was biggest hassle was fact that it's advertised (well, sites such as pcpartpicker say) as being to support a 140mm radiator. It can, but you have to remove the top, being very vulnerable to dust (there's only a couple large vents to hold the top fans underneath, the part being the I/O is completely exposed), I had to just rest the top on top of my liquid cooling fan, although I might have to cut the case later. Instead of a couple attachments to the motherboard, the temperature display is really connected to a tiny bulb thing, which I presume is the thermometer, I put is as close to my CPU as possible, but it's definitely still far from accurate. In the end, this case was still able to suit my needs for a good price, but if I didn't already put everything together, and not want to lose the 15% restocking fee, I would definitely go for a full tower or NZXT, or something.
Pros Good cooling. 3 fans included. Front fan controller and digital temp readout, Large cpu cooler cutout. All fan locations are filtered. Lots of space behind motherboard tray. Black inside and out. Lots of included screws and fasteners
Cons Front USB 3 are the older passthrough design. Rear PCI slot covers are not reusable. Flimsy steel. HDD mounting awkward. No support for AIO watercooling except single 120
Summary I have mixed opinions for this case. I like the general look and aesthetics of the case (naturally, case preference is subjective and differs with each individual). It is decent looking to be a gaming case, yet not too flashy to be an "everyday" case.
There is ample space even for the longest non-modular power supply. Additionally, the space behind the motherboard should be sufficient to hide most cable clutter. There is at least 0.75" of space to tuck in cables plus there are lots of mounting points for zip ties.
The front fan controller should be sufficient to control all of the included fans without needing additional connectors or splitters. This leaves any free additional fan headers on the motherboard (if any) for even more fans.
The 3 included fans move a fair amount of air without being too noisy. 2 LED fans front and top exhaust plus a rear white-blade/non- LED is supplied for the hear.
Front panel houses a red LED temperature display which should be fairly accurate depending on where you place the included probe
The front USB 3 ports use a passthrough design. This involves a pair of usb3 cables to snake through the case and out the back so that they can be plugged into the usb 3 ports on the rear-I/O. The rear PCI slot covers are non-reusable as well.
The feature I was not too fond of was the mounting mechanism for the 3.5" HDD. Screws with rubber ends are mounted on the HDD. The rubber ends should fit into existing guide rails. Unfortunately, the case I received made it difficult to use the rubber washers. The guide rails are off by a few mm making it hard to insert the drive assembly.
A full size Air cooler like the CM212 fits without any issues. Unfortunately, when it comes to AIO air coolers, the choices are more limited. Without doing extensive modification, it looks like only a single 120rad would fit (on the rear exhaust port)
Price after MIR make this a good case for budget builds
Pros Good price for mid towers with MIR Nice blue LED Fans 3 Included Fans
Cons USB 3.0 Cable should connect to back panel instead of motherboard Bit tight for gigabyte graphic cards due to length
Summary Overall, I am really satisfied with this case. It has 3 included fans itself and they have nice blue LED. But I found that Gigabyte graphic card might be tight to install (it is installable though) for someone. So if you are buying this case, I suggest that buying graphic cards less than 300mm length. Definitely would buy again.
Pros Super quiet, easy to assemble, temp readout, sturdy and comes with 3 fans and a quick removal front face for access to clean filters
Cons tight fit for larger video cards, no USB 3.0 on case
Summary Overall very satisfied and would definitely recommend this for a budget to mid-level build. The lack of USB 3.0 ports on the front is the only thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars. Well worth the price though.
Pros Good-looking and nice feature set for the price, three 120mm fans included
Cons No easy access to front fan filter, so-so instructions, USB 3 through-case "extensions" instead of USB header connection, EXTREMELY awkward/hard access to top fan, other minor design flaws
Summary Everybody seems to be unanimous by giving this case 3 stars. Overall a good bang for the buck, the fact that they include 3 fans alone makes this case worth it (figure 10$/fan minimum if you were to buy them separately). Used this to build a PC for my GF with my previous parts and let's just say that the build quality and cable management is not as good as with my aging Antec P182, but again, you get what you pay for. One frustrating thing is that I just can't beleive you have to take the whole front panel off to clean the front fan filter though, and even worse, the whole top off if you want to play around with the top fan (which fits incredibly tight if you have a big CPU cooler in there (like a Tuniq tower...forget about putting a Noctua in there)
Pros Good spacing/holes for cable managment Comes with decent LED fans Decent looking, customizable, no overwhelming design Temperature/fan controller cool interface
Cons No space for mounting customized watercooling radiator Otherwise just enough space for everything but not enough expandability Front USB 3.0 not real ports from motherboard just two extentions from back, messy connection Watercooling tube holders in the back not very well made
Summary Spacious case for the price, great looking nothing too overwhelming so the design is easily customizable, had just enough space for 2x 12" cold cathodes + one small laser LED. -0.5 for not being tall enough to accommodate XSPC watercooling radiator inside, -0.5 the rubber holders at the back for the watercooling tubes looks good but keeps falling out when installing/no rubber padding for the holes in the case to hide the cables, -0.5 missing feet at the bottom when the case arrived had to find replacement myself..., -0,5 two screws holes didn't fit motherboard, -0.5 front panel USB 3.0 basically two extention where u have to connect cables from the back, not real ports connected to the motherboard. +0.5 for coming with blue LED fans/ fan control and temp display. I named all the bad things the rest is all great/ Overall great case for the price.
