Cons VERY loud. According to this one review site, this thing is 26-37 dBa.
Summary Much better once you change the fan. The ZP1225ALM that comes with the package is very noisy. I couldn't find the the CFM but it's probably 70+, I changed the fan to a Cougar with 60.4 CFM and the air it exhausts seem to be a bit weaker than the original one but the noise was so much better. The LQ 310 can be mounted two fans to it, one in the front and one in the back, if you use the long screws that came with the package, you can mount the 120mm fans you can find anywhere for the back. But you only have one set of those long screws so if you want to install the second fan and don't want to use the ZP1225ALM, you need to be careful on the fan you buy. Unlike normal fan mounting where you mount from the outside to the inside, for the second fan, you mount from the inside to the outside (sorry, not good at putting it into words). So those fans that have a tube type of thing that connects the bolt holes on the two side wouldn't work. Eg: The Cougar Turbine wouldn't work (the one I own) but the Cougar Vortex will.

Summary it is relatively effective running a push pull system also the mail in rebate right now is only for that month i bought mine of the 26 of june thinking i had 30 days to claim it, nope only for that month aka 4 days hard to do that when i work all the time.
Cons I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this, but I fell prey to the price. The pump is noticeably loud. I've tilted, shaken, adjusted it's orientation to no avail. Going to try reducing rpms to see if that helps.
If you can cover up the noise, or you don't care, this is a good deal.
I've already contacted Zalman customer service - I was trying to reduce noise, not add. Disappointed.
Pros +Decent cooling +Cleaner install than similarly priced air coolers +Comes with a layer of thermal paste already applied +Blue LED Zalman logo looks cool +Piping long enough to reach either back or top fan ports, without getting cluttered inside the case
Cons -Fairly loud, nothing too bad -Bad instructions
Summary Cooling allowed overclocking a 3.5Ghz AMD FX-6350 to 4.2GHz (20% increase). Not too loud. With a mail-in rebate, it was damn cheap - I wouldn't recommend picking it up at $66, but at $35 it's well worth the cost!
My only complaint is the installation instructions. It comes with two sets of clips, one for Intel and another for AMD. The instructions don't label it, so you have to guess. I guessed wrong, and ended up ruining the layer of thermal paste that came pre-installed on the unit as I had to pull it off, swap the clips, and put it back on. Luckily I had some Arctic Silver left over from my last build so it worked out, but I can't help but wonder how good the cooling could have been if it had been clamped down with that original professional and thin layer of paste that came with it instead of half that paste and hald Arctic Silver glopped on top to make up for some that had rubbed off.
Pros takes up less space than a big air cooler and performs just as well (ex. hyper 212)
Easy to install
Cheap with PM or rebate!
Cons Plastic backplate
Summary Bought this for super cheap after mail in rebate. I read another review on here saying it was loud but for me thats ok, and i actually can't hear it over all my case fans anyways.
it performs very well for the price i paid. there is no other cooler i could have bought for the same price that would cool this fx8350 as well as this did. hit 4.6ghz no problem and still plenty of room for more if i wanted to push it.
My only complaint is the backplate being plastic. To install u put these little metal pieces inside the plastic backplate that the screws go into.. i can see the plastic easily stripping after a few installs/uninstalls.. mine almost stripped on one of them.. it would make it a real hassle to install if you don't have a case with a hole behind the CPU socket if the plastic no longer held the metal pieces in place.
but for the price u can't go wrong, at the price i couldn't pass it up.
Summary I picked on of these up on sale and with a rebate that makes it hard to say no. I have a H80i in my other system and it makes no sound at all when the fans are off. I was expecting similar or just a bit louder. Now I ran this outside the case and could hear it across the room(the case will reduce this noise and it was not extremely loud). My H80 made some noise when it was new so I figured I may as well install it. After installation I notice my system sounds like it has a hard drive always seeking. Now the system has no hard drive in it(just SSD's for that system). NCIX did an RMA(I did not get to install it right away so it was near the 30 day limit for ncix). The new ones comes in and while it sounds slightly better it still sounds bad in the case. The only thing I could do in this case was run the pump slower(about 1000 rpms lowers the noise to a level that is not too bad). I had already tried all the rad over pump and lay the case down sideways thing. It did not help in my case.
If you have a case with faster fans, you may not even notice this, but with a few 700 rpm fans, this thing can be loud.
The problem seems to be hit or miss with these types of coolers.
