I put these in every rig just in case, you never know when you might need it! For the small investment it is well worth it even if only needed once or never for that matter!!

Works well. I had to use it for installing XP SATA drivers on my new motherboard. Not much can go wrong with it.

I use these to replace old floppys on older computers or for people who absolutely want xp on their computers. I haven't received one from sony doa yet. They work as they are supposed to. These i find are very reliable.

This is your standard floppy drive. it doesn't do much. Just like some others, i bought it just in case i ever need it. I would have rather salvaged a floppy drive from another computer, but could't find any.

Well, you ll never know when a floppy drive will be necessary. I' ve had my Athlon w/o floppy drive for more than 2 years and never needed one. One day I've decided to add a SATA HDD to my computer and format it. The next thing I know is that WinXP hasn't been made to recognize SATA HDD automatically and needs a floppy diks with drivers to be installed on that new drive. That day, i really wish having paid that 10$ for a floppy drive.

It does what it needs to do for $10 bucks. Useful for bios flashing. The only problem is that the FDD cable fits both ways and you don't know until you boot up and it says Floppy Drive failure.

This drive works fine in every way but one. You can insert the data cable upside-down (it has the hole on the top and the bottom) which can be annoying when you are first building the system and wondering why the floppy drive is stuck.

Bought this for my new build, realized that I didn't really need it later. Floppy are barely used now a days so most new computers don't need it unless you have important use for it.

This is the kind of hardware you rarely need but when you need it, you need it badly therefore $10 is a good investment. Mine is quiet , has a little green light that seems always on on the front. Don't build a PC without it.
