Summary
Used as a daily backup drive. Started to encounter bad blocks after 12 months and now drive will not initialize. Tried WD Diagnostics Utility but cannot even read the drive (too many bad blocks). Will RMA.
Bought a 3TB Blue drive at the same time and it's still working fine.
Had some issues with the older Green drives (high Load Cycle Counts) and was hoping the Blue drives would be better.

-Handles NTSF very well after 5 years. No data corruption/broken sectors

WD offers the best products for data storage. The Blue line is excellent for long term data storing. I have had mine for 1/2 a decade and they still are running without corrupted sectors.

Has been working well as PVR drive for the last couple of weeks.
Much quieter than previous Seagate drives used for similar purposes.
My last Green WD drive ran 24/7 in a PVR and lasted a good 4-1/2 Yrs. before writing errors went out of control.
ATTO test showed somewhere between 140 and 170 MB/sec transfer rate. Very good for a 5400 RPM 2TB drive.
Two platter high density is probably why.

tampered serial numbers or UPC code will be denied returns.
GOVERNMENT & BUSINESS Laptop and Notebook purchases made with government or business POs can be returned typically within fourteen (14)
days from original invoice date. Return will only be accepted with original packaging, accessories, cables, free gifts (if applicable), unopened
software and manuals and is subject to inspection before warranty approval. Laptop and notebook with tampered serial numbers or UPC code will be

All NON-DEFECTIVE returns are subject
to a 15% restocking fee. No refunds will be issued for blank media,

Defective software, video games or DVDs
