Cons
Instruction not easy to understand

Summary
This is probably the best budget router you can buy. It's cheaper than the WRT54GL and has the same hardware almost. It's always been stable and I have 30Mbps internet.

Pros
Modable Solid built Good looking
|
Cons
Won't walk the dog

Summary
I've been using this router for two years now with zero problem. Installing Tomato was as easy as 123. Signal is very strong. Has never failed. Even once. Downloaded a few gigabytes. Highly recommended. Thanks Asus!

Pros
Price Supported by DD-WRT USB
|
Cons
Heat, 240MHz clock
|
Summary
Runs a solid version of DD-WRT with printing and auto-mount USB support if you're willing to do the work. At $35, you can't beat the price. Purchases one for a client, one for a sibling, and one for myself over the past year or two.

Pros
Easy to set-up, use and customize User Interface very intuitive Works as advertised
|
Cons
No Wireless N
|
Summary
I did some research and decided to purchase this modem because it was relatively cheap, had wireless (Although not Wireless N, it still fit my needs) and could be flashed to a different firmware if I eventually decided to do so. Overall the router works as advertised, and comes with a lot of features for a relatively cheap price. I would recommend this router to anyone looking for a home wireless router unless they needed Wireless N.

Pros
Tomato/dd-wrt, USB, Decent Range and Speed, Inexpensive
|
Cons
None

Summary
I've used one of these on my network for 3 years without any issues running Tomato ND w/ USB. I only use the wireless for 802.11g devices (phones, older laptops etc) but the signal is strong all over the house and speeds are decent.
I've got a whole bunch of these and other WRT54GLs scattered around the world. Once you put Tomato or dd-wrt on them they are rock solid. I've deployed these in situations where they were heavily taxed (house full of university kids all running their p2p apps) and even with the wifi and internet connections swamped the router doesn't slow down or need restarts.
These tend to be on sale every few months and are well worth it at that price. I've always received the mail in rebate cheques, it would be better if there was no MIR but it's easier to jump through the hoops if you know you are going to get a treat.
I've only ever had one of these die on me and it was within days of receiving it. NCIX were fantastic with the RMA and the replacement they sent out is still running two years later.

|
Pros
Reliable Stable
|
Cons
none
|
Summary
Flashed to dd-wrt works great no complaints, the flash itself is easy, wading through 9 million different articles and opinions as to how to flash and what version to use... annoying and confusing. Definitely not recommended for the non tech person.

|
Pros
- 3rd Party Firmware Compatible (Tomato/DD-WRT) - Very stable - USB Port (File/Printer Sharing) - Low price compared to a similarly capable WRT54GL
|
Cons
- None so far.
|
Summary
Upon reception, I immediately flashed it to Tomato ND with USB support and things have been rock solid without any issues with QoS enabled for VoIP and a printer connected to the USB port.
Using a 3rd party firmware and considering the price I paid (~30$), its definitely a great buy!

|
Pros
Very good router Lots of features Very low price
|
Cons
Stock OS
|
Summary
Bought this router 2 days ago, and spent 3 HOURS!!!!! trying to get it working with my Shaw High Speed. Could not do it. Even worse, it would screw up when enabling wireless, and that would take me 10 minutes to re-set, or get it back to working.
Then I flashed it to Tomato, and it worked like a dream. All problems vanished. Literally plug and play. So don't even look at stock firmware unless you want to waste time. Once you get over that little hitch, the router works absolutely amazing for the price.

Pros
Easy to install Tomato, QOS, wireless range.
|
Cons
None.
|
Summary
I used to have DD-WRT on a linksys WRT54G-V5 and that died.I read good things about this router so I bought it. It works great with Tomato and the QOS and bandwidth tracking features are nice. The QOS is essential if you do P2P and VOIP on a connection with limited bandwidth. This router is also capable of MLPPP with Tomato.

Pros
-Can install Tomato -As good as the WRT54GL
|
Cons
-None really for the price?
|
Summary
This is probably the best budget router you can buy. It's cheaper than the WRT54GL and has the same hardware almost. It's always been stable and I have 30Mbps internet. Downloading is always constant with Megaupload Premium. I own 2 of these and 1 WRT54GL and if I ever need another router, I'd buy another WL520GU

Features:EZ MFP The new ASUS wireless router distinguishes itself with the "auto switching" function. It not only enables multiple users to use multifuntion printer wirelessly without a PC or server turned on 24 hours a day, but also rules out the trouble of repeating "disconnecting" and "re-connecting" when users switch. When different users are to use the printer, the router switches automatically, which enables different users to use the printer simultaneously. After plugging in the USB printer into ASUS wireless router and running the ASUS Network Printer Setup program, each user can enjoy easy scanning and easy printing.
