Not impressed

- Is wireless N compatible which was good when i bought it
- Connectivity is very good ~20 feet of the device

- Constantly drops connection if there's 10+ devices on the network
- Original firmware is bad. dd-wrt is much better.
- Signal depreciates, significantly if you are beyond 20 feet of the device.
- I experienced a large number of random resets using the original firmware

I'm just not a fan of this router or this brand in general. I had the d-link dir 300 prior to having this one which under-performed as well. As i said in my pros, it's good when you're in range. If not, you cannot depend on the router's wireless signal.

Experience: 2 Months

3rd party firmware, stable, $10-15 if buying used.
Bought this used and flashed ddwrt to convert  it to client bridge and pair it with wired print server to make my printer wireless.

Experience: 30 Days

Nice little router, works fine in small area
Not working in middle size house, with different level...
Nice router for the price, works well in small area !

Experience: 1 Months

Runs cool, looks cool, antennae's, easy setup
Constantly drops connection wired AND wireless.
Bought this to get a cheap router with wirless "N" to replace my WRT-54G. The old addage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is certainly true with this purchase. It's been nothing but frustrating. I didn't even have one 24 hour period where I didn't hear my kids say "the internet's not working". My other router is still the best! This hunk o'junk didn't even come close to satisfying me. I can't believe that d-link (a well known router name-brand company) can't find a solution to this well known problem. I've read in the last few days TONS of customers with the same problem with this router. Sure, I have RMA insurance, but you know what? for what it'll cost me to send it back it's just not worth it as I don't believe ANY replacement identical router will work any better! I can say this because I bought TWO of them, one for my son's overheating Linksys WRT-310N router. DOUBLE shame on ME, for trusting in this product. The only way satisfaction can be reached at this point would be to have a replacement router OF BETTER QUALITY from them, and what company does that!?!?! Be weary of this item. You have been warned. Small, easy to setup.
could have a larger range
Purchased this modem to replace my old 802.11G modem and upgrade to N, it does a great job routing and i have had no drop  offs while running 4 comps on wireless. But the range could be a little bit better.

Experience: 2 Days

- Bon signal
- Prix
Aucun port USB
Très bon routeur ci peu couteux. aucun probleme de signal jusqu'a présent

Experience: 2 Weeks

N compatible. fair range. Easy to setup. Cheap on sale.
None so far.
I did not need a sophisticated dual band router. Installed it for the mother-il-law. No reboot in the last two weeks. Wifi signal from the basement to outside the house (50ft) is still strong enough.

Experience: 3 Weeks

Great Single
Loads of options
I got this on NCIX eBay outlet as an open box item. Doesn't look like it was used at all. Looks like they only opened it to take pictures or to show someone.

I needed this as my girlfriends wireless network was heavly under high load with wireless devices from everyone living in the house and using the 54 G router. Also the single was very poor on the router that her ISP provided her.

After hooking this up to the router 10/100 port she gets faster speeds with priority on the network. The single is full bars everywhere in the house as well. On top of all that I was not exspecting this router to come pre-load with all the options it has for the network.

This is a very well designed router.

Experience: 10 Months

- Port forwarding ACTUALLY works
- I don't remember needing to reset the thing in forever.
- Has all the features you expect of routers now (ex. statically DHCP assigned IPs using MAC address)
- Uh... integrated dynamic DNS updater limited to dyndns (no no-ip support)
The biggest problem I have with buying routers is getting one that port forwarding works on. I have servers that are web-accessible, and I've tried a couple different brands of routers that port forwarding would not work. Linksys and D-Link are the only two brands I've had consistant success with, and when our WRT54G (over 5 years old) finally stopped working properly, after messing with other routers, we picked up this one.

Port forwarding worked first config, the menus follow the standard D-Link layout, setup in minutes. Haven't had to mess around with it since: it just works. I haven't tested WiFi speed, but range is fine anywhere in our house (which is all you really need). It does make it to the garage too. Very happy.

Most (if not all) revisions of this router are supported by DD-WRT (which is part of why I chose this one), but since I didn't have any issues with the stock firmware, I haven't needed to try DD-WRT.

Experience: 10 Days

easy to setup, good signal
speed lower than described
it's nice and functional router but the speed is lower than i thought as described, it says that you get 300mbps on this unit but actually it doesn't max speed is 118mbps it's been tested on the gigabyte network for speed purpose and it doesn't preform as it said on the box,you can do the calculations on this
at 300mbps is 30mp/s transfer rate and i do 11.8mp/s top speed so it really a big difference but i can't complain, d-link is mostly about durability and performance and they are one of the top 5 best routers in the market.
