Excellent performance
Easy to install
RAM & VRM heatsinks suck
Bought this for a 4870 and it works great. Mine uses the reference stock cooler so I removed the fan/heatsink and left the cooling plate for the RAM and VRMs. AC's heatsinks don't stick very well and the ones for the VRMs are too small - expect very high VRM temps if you use them. I will be transferring this to a XFX 5850 once I receive it.

Experience: 4 Days

Easy installation, limited noise on 12V power (recommended) and does EXACTLY what it's supposed to do - cool your card!
The additional heat sinks for the RAM on my 4870 do not completely cover both chips, as they should. This may be a slight design flaw, or an attempt to make them more "universal" as this cooler is meant to work on more than one card model. Meh.
This sweet little cooler saved me $460.00, which is what I was going to have to pay (just before the holiday's) for a new card to replace my messed up 4870. Up until this cooler, the 4870 was a HUGE disappointment with all it's heating issues and driver problems. I had to RMA the first card due to over-heating right off the bat. The replacement I received had no cowling over it anymore - just a rather sinister looking heat sink and fan assembly. This did not stop the heat from burning out the bearings on that little sucker, when I discovered the fan had FALLEN off the card months later!!

This unit was VERY easy to install with limited hair pulling (an extra pair of hands for mounting the screws helps a lot!). Purchasing a tube of thermal paste would probably have been a good idea, but it comes with enough-ish. This is how this card should have been sold in the first place, as I have had nothing but issues with heat on the ASUS EAH4870HD card. Now that I have this cooler, the card is performing better than it ever has!

While I can see how the added thickness is a concern for those who wish to add another card for crossfire, I actually lucked out with my ASUS M3A32MVP-Deluxe mobo, as the second PCI-E slot is well spaced apart, leaving room for another :)

Overall, I am tickled pink! Thanks NCIX!

Experience: 5 Months

-dual 80mm fans
-quiet (even at 100% fan speed)
-large heatsink with great fin spacing with copper pipes
-had to bend one of the ramsinks to make the copper pipe to fit, not a big deal though
-voltage regulator sinks didn't stick very well on my card but are still there to this day so they must be alright, YMMV (I'll probably buy better sinks one day, but temps aren't an issue really)
-scary at first to line up the contact pad to the GPU, but well worth it
-does take up 3 bay slots (incl. card), but that's not a issue for me, but for a crossfire setup it will
First aftermarket video card cooler. Was scary to install at first, but well worth it.
My only beef is that I should have bought copper sinks, but I don't think that's a problem anyways. Runs pretty cool and my case isn't suffocating.
I'm liking the other cooling products I have (Freezer Pro 64, 12L PWM fan) from Artcic Cooling which made me decide this one over others.

Quiet. Looks good. Cools very well.
Ram / mofset heatsinks hard to stick.
I bought this to install on my 8800GT to make it quieter / cooler. It wasn't too hard to install the main heatsink, however the ram/mofset heatsinks were very hard to keep in place. After a few tries I got them to stick though. All things considered, it does its job.

Experience: 1 Months

- Keeps my 4890 at very cool temperatures
- Very quiet
- Very low priced
- Doesn't come with enough heatsinks for my 4890
- Needs careful installation
- Takes up 3 slots
I bought this for my 4890 because it was running too hot. For the price, it was a steal given that I only plan on using 1 GPU. Just remember that during installation on a 4890, do not use any of the nuts that it comes with. Doing so will prevent the base from getting any contact with the gpu chip. Otherwise, this cooler keeps my card at 40 at idle and 60 at load y 70% fan speed. Very good compared to the stock cooler as this cooler is inaudible at this speed.

Experience: 2 Months

REALLY Efficient
Sinks do not stick well
Put it on my his 4870 to cool it down and shut the hell out of it. It finally got quiet. Really quiet, barely noticeable. Cools well too, no GPU overheating. WARNING FOR THOS WHO PUT IT ON 4870 : google alternatives with the accelero on it.... the VRM heatsinks are not enough, they overheat easily although that gaming is still possible with good airflow.

Experience: 1 Days

Keeps my 4870 cool and QUIET!
None I've noticed yet.
I bought this to replace the ridiculously loud cooler on my 4870. The noise from the Dual Fan Palit cooler was just insane. I put this one on today and its nearly silent in comparison. My temps still dropped a few degrees but that was never a problem on the stock cooler. I simply needed something that wasn't a jet engine. Idle temp is 47 degrees at %50 fan speed. Load temps are under 70 witch is good for a 4870. That's still with the fan speed at %50 too as I don't bother going any faster. Still at %100 fan speeds this is still quieter than the Palit dual fan cooler at about %20! Needless to say I'm happy with it. I kept the factory VRM HS on the card and didn't bother installing the RAM heatsinks as I'm not overclocking. I hear some complaints with the Memory and VRM heatsinks but as others said if you clean the surface before installing them I'm sure they are fine.

Experience: 7 Days

Very quiet; draws power from the Video card, so I can use the card's software to manipulate the fan; dropped my card's heat from 79C to 58C
Takes up an extra drive bay; no idea how to use in an SLI setup
My EVGA 9800GT was shutting down every few days due to overheating. I installed EVGA Precision to manage the card's heat, and found it was going to 79C just surfing the web! I was afraid to run any games at that point. Ambient temperatures were around 25-30C at that time.

Playing with Precision, I bumped the stock fan speed from 30% to 50%, and that dropped the temp by a couple of degrees. Pushing the speed higher (75%) got me a few more degrees, but now the fan started clicking, and kept clicking even when I decided to bring the speed down. Time for a new fan.

I chatted with one of the reps at NCIX (in-store) for a while; we had troubles finding a fan that stated compatibility with the 9800GT. Later, I found out that the chassis for the 9800 is pretty much the same as the 8800GT, so if you're looking for a fan for the 9800GT - if it fits an 8800GT, it should fit the 9800GT.

Anyway, we finally stumbled on the Accelero Twin Turbo, and I took it home. Installation is fairly easy, but requires a good bit of patience. This was my first fan install, and it took me about 2 hours total. Part of that time was spent rearranging my hard drives to accomodate the new fan in my box; the 9800GT is a pretty big card to start with, and the fan takes up about a second bay. I've no idea how anyone could use this in an SLI setup.

Finally, I started everything up. I left Precision with the stock settings, and now the fan is giving me a standard running temp of 55C, up to 58C playing a typical strategy game (ie Civ4, Sins of a Solar Empire). This fan has saved me buying yet another video card - thanks, AC!

Experience: 20 Days

-Cools very well
-Very easy to install
-Looks pretty neat
-Seems to bend the card a bit
-Voids some manufacturers warranty
-Erasing Vram might be difficult for some models
I would highly recommend this cooler, it has dropped my 4850 from 45 degrees to approximately 37~ on idle. On load it won't even hit 45. Also I was able to OC approximately 20% more on the core clock. Very good cooler overall.

Experience: 1 Days

Performs superbly and quietly
VR heatsinks were a bit of a PITA, but no biggie in the end.
Dropped temps from 61C idle and 74C running FAH, both with 85% fan speed, to 42C and 53C at 40% fan. Nowhere near as loud as the stock, just a gentle whoosh of air now. Running this in an Antec 1200 with every fan on low, now I have to figure which is the noisiest fan, was no contest before with the stock fan.
