Experience: 5 Years

It supplies voltage and turns on my computer.
The fan is shreaking and squeeling. It seems to have 2 or 3 different voices that whine, shreak, and have a metallic sound.
The voltages are somewhat off according to Speccy and other programs.
I am starting to look to see if I can replace the fan before it stops entirely and blows up my computer. If I can get a fan for this then I will be happy again: silence would be welcome.

Experience: 30 Days

I recommend
I recommend this product, it works very well for small PC

Experience: 6 Months

does what it should be doing
none so far
I would not use it for a gaming PC, but anything else is a no brainer.

Experience: 1 Days

None, I didn't get to test it
Dead on Arrival
Dead on Arrival. But others seem to be happy with it so I imagine that what happened to me was a fluke. I replaced the power supply with a different one, but I would buy it again for a budget build if the price was right.

Experience: 2 Weeks

Inexpensive, good build quality, good manufacturer, good power quality, reliable.
Not enough sata power connectors!
Thermaltake seriously needs to consider trading up on of the molex cables for a sata cable, there is only one cable with 2x SATA connectors on it, so if you have two sata devices and they are more than 3 inches apart, you need a molex to sata adapter. Ive used alot of these PSUs for budget builds and onboard graphics builds, they are absolutely fantastic, I won't buy ANYthing else for an under 500W build.

Experience: 10 Days

80mm front and back fan
80mm front and back fan one of the few left that do so!

Experience: 2 Years

Quiet, Looks nice
Sata connectors too close.
I have to agree with Sankar_s on the sata connectors. Great if you plan to have stacked drives but any other setup can be very awkward if not impossible. Aside from that, the psu has been running strong for 2 years now and is still very quiet. A decent buy overall. Would buy again for a htpc build.

Experience: 4 Years

- Solid build quality
- Lots of power
- Only has 2 SATA connectors
I own two generations of this power supply (same model number, different appearances). One is in a server which has 6 hard drives and is on 24/7 for the last 2.5 years, and the other is in my desktop which has 3 hard drives, a 9800GT AND a 6600GT OC.

I've never had a single issue with either power supply. They have plenty of power and are incredibly reliable and solid. I've been very happy with them since day one.

Experience: 7 Days

* Very quite
* Good Air flow design.
* Secondary SATA connector is too short..
I bought this one to build my HTPC case. The fans inside them are so quite, I thought they were not running at all. My only concern is the SATA cable length. It has one sata cable with 2 connectors in it. They are designed with stacked SATA drives in mind. If you have side by side drives (non-tower cases), you will have problem with connecting 2nd drive with the 2nd connector. I only have one SATA drive so I am fine for now. But I will probably hate this PSU when I add my second drive.

Experience: 4 Weeks

excellent performance
none so far
good quiet reliable, have it for my little file server running linux at home. always 24/7 no problem so far, very quiet, even quieter than Antec equivalent model. good and solid product.

Comment: Thermaltake Purepower 430 W NP, which is also known by other names like W0070, TR2-430W and XP550 NP, is one of the simplest and cheapest power supplies from Thermaltake. In this review we completely disassembled this unit and tested to see if it can really deliver 430 W. Check it out.
