Summary
These used to be cream of the crop drives. Ssd have de-throwned them. They are still fast though and extremely reliable. I still have 2 in raid 0 working away in a old computer.

Summary
Probably one of the best hard drives out there, but in today's modern times, we now has SSDs. For this price, you would be able to buy a solid state drive (which is much faster no matter how you look at it).

Summary
Used as my master boot drive. Running WinXP Pro. This drive replaced my 40GB drive. Happy with drive, until errors from registry started to pop up, now this could be windows but after I get someone to looking into drive, it good I will comtinue using drive as master boot in Win 7 when I upgrade my machine, otherwise get a new one and use as my master boot drive.

I use it has my primary drive no complaint fast boot everything just need to defrag every month once and good to go
fast again.
Wd getting solid performance over the last year compare to 10 years ago i use to get a lot of problem with them.
It could get a 5 star if its not about the price tag.

First 30 days limited warranty through NCIX.com. The remainder of the two year warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer.

Warranty length may vary per specific model. Western Digital Raptor and Caviar RE series enterprise drives are covered by a 5 year warranty. Caviar and Caviar Blue & Green desktop drives are covered by a 2 year warranty for OEM drives, and a 1 year warranty for Retail. |

Laptops and Notebooks can be returned within SEVEN (7) days
from original invoice date. Return will only be accepted with original
packaging, accessories, cables, free gifts (if applicable), unopened software and
manuals and is subject to inspection before warranty approval. Laptop and notebook with
tampered serial numbers or UPC code will be denied returns.
GOVERNMENT & BUSINESS Laptop and Notebook purchases made with government or business POs can be returned typically within fourteen (14)
days from original invoice date. Return will only be accepted with original packaging, accessories, cables, free gifts (if applicable), unopened
software and manuals and is subject to inspection before warranty approval. Laptop and notebook with tampered serial numbers or UPC code will be
denied returns. Please check with your B2B sales representative for specific terms and details.
All NON-DEFECTIVE returns are subject
to a 15% restocking fee. No refunds will be issued for blank media,
digital camera (and accessories), opened software, printers,
printer supplies, paper, projectors (and accessories), appliances,
handhelds, PDAs, notebook computers, special order computers and
special order items.
Defective software, video games or DVDs
will be replaced by the SAME title and format ONLY (and subject
to current availability) within 30 days of the Invoice date. Software, Drones,
video games and DVDs may be returned within 30 days only if the
