Card is amazing really. Every game I play, Skyrim Crazy high settings, BF3 highest settings, Assassin's Creed High Settings...runs them great, I have two in Sli. I think even being a 680, Sli is sort of needed if you want to max out setttings. I have the version after the first 5000 units so I have the newer BIOS. I can get an extra 41Mhz oc from the processor, no more. Even then, I see 2 artifacts, small ones, in benching so I don't oc them any further. Its pointless to be honest. These cards are basically as High as they should should run on the next BIOS.

They are Super quiet even playing my heart out on any settings on any game while never going higher than 52 degrees. This is amazing to me since I've always had noisy high end cards at high temps.
really, the only con to these cards is that they were meant to be overclocked higher but nvidia decided they would impose retarted restrictions to MSI's bios and so its no longer an overclockers card. But, its almost as high as anyone card overclock a 68- on air so really its on top in my opinion.

The other con is that this card has only 2 GB of RAM. These days 2 GB isn't really that much. Many will argue that VRAM is only for high res but they are sort of wrong because VRAM is used for alot more that high resolutions and multiple monitors. If you want to go crazy with texture quality and anti aliasing, you need that Vram to keep the game from stuttering...end of story.
I think by far, these cards are the best high end cards I'v ever bought. They last ones that were worth the money in terms of high end cards for me, was the 8800 Ultra cards. I've had ever gen since then. mainly the x60 Ti series for efficiency purposes.

If you are looking to get 3 way sli, don't get these...in fact don't get 3-way for any cards cause 3-way sli is bad no matter how you spin it. NOT worth the money.

These cards scale decently in my games mentioned above. They don't seem to scale great in experience while playing the game, but thats not really the GPU's problem. It's the game or the platform. I have an i7 920 v 3.8Ghz. Its not exactly a crazy bottleneck, but I can obviously tell that games are not using both my cards ever past 50% at best. If anyone has these cards in Sli on a better platform at higher frequencies, please be kind enough to comment.

Overall, I would get these cards over 2 titans, or even one titan....unless your rich, then get two titans lol. Titans are NOT worth their price....no matter how you try to rationalize it. At the moment I'm investigating the titans for performance in SolidEdge which I use everyday. I need good modeling performance as much as I need gaming performance so I would welcome a positive result of a titan vs. my 680's...but I doubt that the double floating point performance will be enough to accomplish this. Tesla or not.

Best 680 not jokes 680!! =P
This gts680 has a large performance increase and the lighting edition is a overclocked out of the box. Its very quiet with its two 100mm fans featuring twin frozer IV..Excellent GPU overclocking potential and provide a software voltage control & monitoring at low temperatures. =)

Experience: 5 Days

Very fast, Very cool while still being fairly silent.
Large, Very Expensive.
Purchased to replace an AMD 6950 2GB, awesome power and cooling especially for air, only problem I've had was with the colour profiles in nvidia drivers resetting in fullscreen games, fixed by using windows to adjust instead.

Experience: 5 Days

Excellent overclocker (after you put in a bit of work), runs very cool, quiet, great build quality, looks awesome.
Nvidia has clamped down on the voltage tweaking so MSI now ships these cards with a locked BIOS which doesn't allow you to unlock the voltage even though they still advertise "Unlocked Voltage". Read the summary for more info on how unlock it again.
The BIOS can be flashed to an older version which allows all the overclocking ability these cards were originally designed for.

This thread shows you all the steps to take to unlock this card's potential. I've done this and I can say Im getting very good OC numbers (1320 mhz core 7000 mhz memory) and I've never gone over 59c with voltage maxed under full load. This card is a beauty. Taking away 1 star because it doesn't work the way it should out of the box. To be fair, it's not MSI's fault.

Experience: 1 Weeks

Extremely high performance card
great cooling, as expected of MSI
Thicker than most due to slot on side
Wider than most cards
This card is a beast. I bought 2 and placed them in SLI and it laughs at every game I throw at it, and I haven't even turned MSI afterburner on yet

The primary downsides are the card's size. There's a small MSI plastic shell on the side which is where reactor card attachment can go, and because of this it is as thick as a three card slot (its possible this can be removed I believe). This is a minor gripe however as this card is designed to provide maximum air cooling to the card, and as such you shouldn't be stacking it against anything anyways. I have an MSI z77 BIG BANG MPOWER motherboard, and space is provided between the cards for cooling

Also the cards are so wide and long that it made using the Cooler Master HAF X ducted fan cowlings impossible. However they have excellent cooling on their own so this was a minor issue

-Removes dust on startup
-2 slots
-Blue LEDs and a blackplate
-Runs cool
-Powerfull card
-Noisy on startup
And nothing else so far
I bought a GTX 570 DirectCU II a year ago and loved it just LOVED it. I got another one to SLI but in SLI with no spacing it was ridiculous and I just hated my system after that. I couldn't play the demanding games I wanted because of the heat and noise. So recently I sold them for about the price of a GTX 680. I did some research to find wich card would be as good as a DirectCU II one but without using 3 slots and this one is the answer.

It looks really great with the backplate and the LEDs (you can remove the blue reactor if you don't like it), it's really quiet on idle, but a bit more noisy than a single DirectCU II on load. I just got it a few hours ago and I only tested Battlefield 3 until now. I am installing Crysis 2 in a moment to test it. I can say that previously I think I had about 80 fps in ultra settings with my 570s and now with this card in a 64 players game I get 90-110 fps on utra. The lowest I got was 61 wich is great. I did not test the adaptive v-sync and the TXAA yet, but I will. I will also test the card on a surround setup, but I know this card can run Battlefield 3 ultra with no msAA at 50ish fps on 3 monitors. This card is just great. Until now in BF3 the card got to 44% fan speed, 66C and 1300mb used (full load). 1300mb used in 1080p leaves a bit of space for surround gaming I guess. Get this card, it's worth it.

Experience: 6 Days

Plays all games at highest settings without breaking a sweat.
Very wide card. May not fit in some smaller cases.
An absolutely top-of-the-line graphics card for your high-end computer rig. Totally destroys all graphics cards on the market and would not hesitate to buy another card for an SLI setup. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend highly to others.

Experience: 4 Days

Amazing Build Quality
Easy to Overclock
Dual BIOS(Flashable)
Very Quiet
That i could only afford to purchase 1
I've had this card for a few days now and i'm extremely happy with it. Everything game i try it just lol's at it the lowest FPS i saw so far was like 56 FPS in Arkham City with every maxed. BF3 i don't think has ever gone below 60 to be honest. The Card itself is a beauty to look at i think i stared at it for a good 10 minutes before it caught me looking :P. I am not sure if this is the best GPU out there minus the GTX 690 but i do know that i won't have to buy a graphics card for a long time and i havn't even spent much time overclocking yet. MSI's Afterburner is so simple to use. I wanted a GPU that will last me a while and i'm sure this will do the trick.

Comment: MSI’s GTX 680 Lightning is built for overclockers, this market’s elitists who demand top tier parts and won’t settle for anything less.
