I am running three monitors right now, this GPU is a beast. It filters air nicely and keeps cool despite my living conditions being extremely hot or extremely cold. I have had no problems with this yet and it's been three years. No plans to upgrade still.

I am loving this card, it has been rock solid since putting it in. Drivers loaded into Windows 8 no problem. Its quiet and throws out sick frame rates, everything I wanted in a card. Well worth the price.

Summary
Upgraded from the 5770 to 7870, ASUS makes the best cards, this card lowered my system temperature by 5-8 degrees C and lowered my idle wattage by 30 watts. This card's heat sink not only looks cool, it runs cool and very quiet. I am very happy with this card, ASUS makes the best cards. Came with 2 Steam games (Never Settle Forever Radeon Promo).

I knew the R7 and R9 were coming out, but didn't know it was just right around the corner. Good thing that the R9 270X is just a rebadged Pitcairn XT with overclocked specs. At $209 before tax I saved a bit of money with included games if you think about it that way, but that's not why I did it. I just lucked out, but I don't regret it.

Summary
I would have bought the R9 270X knowing that they were just about to have them for purchase. No regrets though.
Bought it to play Battlefield 4 with better quality settings. My 6850 would have held up, but I wouldn't have enjoyed the game as much.
I still have a 1680x1050 monitor, so I don't know what the performance is like on 1080p. I'm sure there's no noticeable difference.
Frame rate is fine even with PCIE 2.0 and a 965 overlocked to 3.8GHz with the northbridge at 2.6GHz.
