- built in sleeving on the cables seems on the plasticy/cheap side .. I put in the extra effort of doing custom paracord sleeving on only the cords used/visible inside the case window

Summary
Very happy with my purchase.. this power supply has everything I needed for my new build including SLI 980ti's that needed a total of two 8pins and two 6pin connectors ... as well as 9 HDD/SSD's, the included SATA power cables covered it no problem.
** I can confirm that the length of the 8 pin CPU cable and 24pin ATX cable will both reach their respective locations on the motherboard in a corsair 900D build, without having to use any extenders or pulling/stretching their length.. in my case being plugged into an Asus TUF Sabertooth X99 **
the 24pin ATX is split into 14/10 on the PSU end, therefore when/if you do your own cable sleeving, its imperative you are careful in matching up the wires exactly.. I found only removing one at a time and drawing a pinout diagram as I went was best.
the packaging is very nice in this box as well.. the unit itself was shipped in a velvet bag which is nice (and reusable!) .. as well all the included power cables are in a Velcro pouch. I think I only used a total of 8 cables out of the whole lot they give you.
it has the corsair link feature which I don't believe ill be using, but nice to have if I change my mind down the road
would definitely recommend for others considering a PSU for new builds, when SLI or higher is needed.

Awesome build, easy to install on case. Runs cool, I havent seen the fan spinning yet, but then again my PC doesn't get that hot.
Needless to say it has no problem running 2x SLI configuration.
If you have the money and space in your case then I recommend this.

Upgraded to this from my Hx1000 that I had for 7 years. Got rid of it because of an annoying fan noise it would make time to time.
I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I only buy corsair power supplys. If your in the market for a new PSU. I would honestly pick this one!

Summary
This beast of a power supply has served me well this past 6 months, purchased along with a 900D for a custom loop setup and might I say, wow..this unit provides a surplus of connection options all while keeping whipper silent. Fan only spins up when i boot my pc for a total of about 5-10 seconds, after which it stops and sits idle as I'm not stressing it by any means. Very happy once again with Corsair products and will definitely be sticking to my guns next time around. Corsair you have done it again and have kept me on as a loyal customer.

This PSU is much better than the Antec Quattro 1200 watt unit it was replacing. It is quieter, more power efficient, and fully modular which really makes for easy and tidy cable mangement.
Still running strong after 2 years, and worth every penny.

Defective software, video games or DVDs
