Experience: 10 Months

Crystal clear sound, quality is absolutely superb overall.
None I have found.
I am a linux user, so if any of you are using linux and wondering which sound card to get that is of high quality AND fully supported by ALSA, you have found THE card. I searched extensively and bought Turtle Beach, Creative, etc. cards and tested them all. Some were decent but none came close to the M-Audio Rev 7.1 card. I have had this card for a while now and it just whoops your behind. Never a problem so far and I have it hooked up to a Logi Z-5300e system, it sounds great. After some configuration I have full 5.1 sound, easy tuning of each channel, 2.0 stereo sound upmixed to all speakers, etc. all in linux. I'm sure this card rocks just as hard in Winblows. Fully recommended.

Experience: 6 Months

One of the best 'sounding' cards I've heard. loud and clear.
No seperate headphone jack. Not good for just music listeners.
Bought it hopeing that the software would be versitile. If you like to switch between your speakers (2.1) and your headphones you have to set it up for 4.1 and just use the rears for your headphones. But then through my headphones the music wouldnt sound as nice if they'r going through the mains.
Oh and the sound card doesnt work through XP only win2k, or I just dont know how to install drivers.

Experience: 60 Days

Very good sound quality, fully 24 bit unlike audigy 2, works good in Cubase.
Lack of driver updates, on m-audio's site, the latest driver update for the revo. 7.1 is dated way back to february 2004, although this driver works just fine but I find it does lacks in options and settings for the card.
I'm very satisfied with this card, when I hooked it up into my system I could really hear a difference from my old audigy 2. It's fully 24 bit which is good if you work with audio. Works just fine in cubase sx 3, I have a 10 ms delay with the M-Audio ASIO driver, which is pretty good considering the price of the card (had 50 ms in cubase with audigy2). I also game a lot and havn't had any issues in games so far.

The only thing that annoys me is the lack of settings/options within the cards control panel, the settings are designed for home theaters and not for a music producer.

I think this is a great sound card and I highly recomend it.

Musically accurate and LOUD
easy install
my pc sounds like a home theater sys for a small price

none if you have a fast system to start with
This sound card paired with my new Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1's
is an excellent combination. My computer never has sounded better or louder. I am as happy as can be, the best $620.00 I ever spent to get an absolutely killer sound, rate it 11 out 10. Keep on rocking.

Experience: 8 Months

-24bit, 7.1 crystal clear soundcard
This soundcard from M-Audio competes with Creative's SB Audigy 2 ZS. Both is almost the same in price and capabilities but if you are a gamer or would use it mostly for games than you should buy the Audigy 2ZS. Otherwise, this card will provide better sound from music, movies and everthing else than the Audigy 2ZS. Also, many limitations exist on the A2 ZS but doesn't on the M-Audio Revolution. Driver's I think are better than Creative's also. It loses in support and popularity however.

Experience: 10 Days

- Pristine audio quality. Far better than any other card I've used.
- Easy connectivity.
- No detectable crosstalk. (no ambient noise or interference)
- no Mux (Multiplexor). Some might consider this a weakness, but it does ensure high quality audio.
- Drivers and controlling software very limited.
- Most of the bundled software is useless (even the game is terrible).
After experiencing this sound card I absolutely wish I purchased it earlier. Nothing else can compare to the unbelievably clear sound this card produces within the price range, or even beyond this price range. If you are looking for a 5.1 or 7.1 card for home theatre, gaming, or just perfect stereo sound reproduction this is the one to buy. Its strengths greatly outweigh its weaknesses so I give it a five star rating.

Experience: 10 Months

Bit perfect digital sound for music.
Weak gaming performance.
Been running this at the same time as my Audigy 2 ZS, for just music purposes. Does not resample like the A2 does for music, and sounds fantastic. No driver issues here.
Sounds great for movies too, but suffers frame rate wise for games and also does't offer eax4 for it doesn't measure up to the A2 for games.

Experience: 3 Days

Drivers were easy to install and the quality is definately what you pay for.
It's a little higher than any of my PCI cards which means I have to make a new case for my system but I was going to do that anyways.
Very nice audio card for the price. Would recommend to average users or extreme gamers.

Experience: 11 Days

None that I can find
No internal or external connection to tv cards et.
Lousy drivers poorly laid out manual w/ very little information. Extra disc is useless junk
I don't know how this P.O.S. gets such good reviews I have tried it out for a week and can,t get customer support to reply, can't get drivers to load properly, and it seems that it is incompatable with Winfast TV cards. The drivers caused so much trouble I have had to format my drives and reinstall windows xp...A7N8X-E-Delux 1 Gig OCZ 3200
ATI 9800 pro, Athlon 2500-m ,two WD 120 Serial Drives ,raid O, xp pro I will probably end up selling this for 50 bucks.

Experience: 2 Days

-Clear and distinct sounds, clear highs, deep bass
-lots of good features
-Good for listening to music and
-Gaming 3d sound effects
all in all, a great product from m-audio. I'm using this soundcard with a pair of my sennheiser HD 590 and it sounds absolutely amazing. I noticed at first the bass is much more deeper and clearer than before. I think that the bass is a bit too much but you can use their speaker bass management feature which fixes it. It has very low cpu utilization and when i change settings with the soundcard, the response is very quick. This is the best for listening to music. It's just lacking a bit of performance in 3D Games. But I rather choose better music over ingame sound quality.

Comment: "Some tastes run more to sound quality than gaming on the PC and we would recommend the M-Audio Revolution 7.1 for those buyers. This is the same family chipset that powers other well-regarded audio cards like the more expensive Terratec, and this is the full-blown 24/192 version. With a S/N ratio o

Comment: Gigit-Life - "The comparison with the Audigy2 was one of the most important tests. The Creative's solution is a bit inferior in music, but when coupled with the SSRC, it almost catches up with the Revolution. But remember, that you can notice the difference only on high-quality speakers."
