Does not fit on a 5770
My 5770 fan is noisy even when I'm not gaming. It's driving me nuts and was hoping this would solve it. I should have researched more before buying, but it was on sale for $15 so I bought it.

Unfortunately the GPU on the 5770 is too close to the mounting bracket for this to fit the card and I didn't feel like modding it.

Gave it to a friend, hopefully he can make use of it.

Experience: 7 Days

no noise and very cool (53C) on 10% overclocking with 2 monitors
my card is not on the cooler's compatibility list.
the cooler is above the card's height make sure your case has the oom for it.
got on sale for $15.
I had to modify it for ASUS HD 4770 card since the card is not on the cooler's compatibility list.

Experience: 6 Months

-passive design (I still use a nearby 120mm fan on low to give it some airflow)
-relatively cheap
-thermal tape on ramsinks worthless
-thermal tape on VRM heatsinks worthless
-plastic spacers for mounting screws may be worthless depending on your particular video card
-black plastic frame may block SATA port if your m/b is small
I bought this to replace the noisy and not very efficient cooler on my XFX 4870 (the later, cheaper, non-reference design version). The main heatsink works if you don't use the included plastic spacers for the main 4 screw mounts which caused it to make only 30% contact with the GPU core on my 4870. Just be careful not to over tighten the screws and crush the core. I had to remove the bottom black plastic frame to unblock one of SATA ports on my MA785GM-US2H. The thermal tape on the included ramsinks and VRM heatsinks is worthless like others have mentioned. A quarter of them fell off after about 10 mins. Fortunately my 4870 already has a push-pin mounted VRM heatsink and I had some leftover unused blue Zalman ramsinks (ZM-RHS1) from an ancient ZM80D-HP from 2005. They worked way better than the included AC ramsinks. My 4870 is now cool and quiet. Good thing I had some spare ramsinks and this cooler was relatively cheap ($20 on sale), otherwise I'd be more upset with it.

Experience: 7 Days

Quiet and effective
install was a bit tricky
Used this to replace the stock sink/fan on my Radeon HD5770 and despite being passive it cools about as well but without the noisy fan. With the turbo module fans attached it dropped the temp by 10c. Much better than the stock cooling and much more quiet even when using the optional fans.

Experience: 27 Days

No noise, light and dissipate heat better than stock cooler.
I was looking for an aftermarket passive cooler to replace the dreadful stock cooler on my old 3850, which always screw when under load. I came upon this cooler during a weekly sale and it was only $20, so I gave it a try. Bang for the buck.

Experience: 2 Days

-Silent operation (if you don't add fans)
-Great passive cooling vs. Stock ATI 4850 fan
-Not really a weakness, but installation takes patience
My 4850 used to run at 105c for Dragon Age, causing computer shut downs, and after installing, highest it runs now is 55-56c. I am running it on passive mode too, so if you get the turbo modules, you can expect even more performance out of this cooler.

Only problem was that the VRAM heatsink tape isn't the strongest, one fell off midway through installation.
One piece of advice, take your time, press + hold each heatsink down for 40 seconds to ensure glue has time to grasp on.

Experience: 2 Weeks

cools much better than stock, and much better than expected
as silent as can be since it's passive
easy to install if you know PC's
case temp is higher (to be expected)
takes space of 2 brackets (even 3 if you use the Turbo Module Dual Fan Addon)
Not easy to install if you don't know PC's
*XFX 4780 XXX card owners, beware (see summary)
I installed this on an XFX Radeon HD4870 XXX card. Since it's the highest-end card that this cooler supports, I was afraid it might not cool it very well. I was proven wrong as my temps went down from 80ºC to about 50ºC. Under load, it goes up to around 62ºC, which is pretty good since I also have a Coolit water cooling system on CPU, so there is more heat than before inside the case. Obviously though, the case temp is higher now than before, but nothing serious. Just make sure you have good air flow and you should be fine (mine is so-so in my old Antec Super Lanboy).

Installation went pretty smoothly for me. I am used to building PC's from the ground up, but I've never did this sort of thing before. The stock cooling went off very easily, and following the steps for the Accelero is went smoothly. Except for one this *ATTENTION XFX HD4780 XXX OWNERS* On this card, one of the rads that goes on the memory chips, interferes with one of the copper tubes of the cooler. But just by a little bit. I was afraid I couldn't install the cooler because of this, but after all, all I had to do is cut off a small angled part so that it looks like a trapeze from the side. If you have a small metal cutter, the aluminum is easy to cut off.

I use the cooler with the Arctic Cooling Turbo Module Dual Fan Addon. Because of this, it takes the space of three (yes 3) slots. I had to remove my old sound card, which for me wasn't a big deal (on-board sound is probably better now than that card anyway).

Experience: 1 Days

it does excellent job cooling
small mistakes on manual.
will take 3 slots if you attach a fan.
Got this to replace noisy-dying stock fan.
Without fans, it performs similar to the stock fan.
With a 120 mm fan attached, it performs excellent with a significant temparature drop.

However, the company decided to change the plastic structure used to secure the heatsink to some other looking one which in their manual, they did not update.

Experience: 6 Weeks

-completely silent cooling solution
-fits with my 9800gt just fine
-dont expect temperature to drop  significantly when switching from stock cooler to this if you dont use a fan along with it.
installed this on my 9800gt (whos fan just cries too loudly when on load), and it worked just as expected. I am now looking for a fan to install along with this.

This cooler takes 1 slot in addition to the 1 slot taken up by my 9800gt.

Experience: 2 Months

- Excellent cooling performance
- Decent price
- Won't fit in many ATX HTPC cases
Ordered one of these for my 4850 about a year ago, dropped temps significantly when paired w/ 140mm fan. Bought another one of these to use on my 6850.....just need to find heatsinks for the VRM's.....AC charges waaaaay too much to ship me their VRM-001 kit. I wish NCIX would stock the VRM-001 kit :(

My only complaint is that the heatsink adds approx. another inch to the overall height of your card, making it a tight fit into many ATX cases and an impossibility in many ATX HTPC cases.

The fins design optimize for air ventilation that enhance cooling performance:

Accelero S1 Rev. 2 features 4 thick copper heatpipes which connect directly from the GPU core. The heatpipes with sintered powder wicks provide ultimate heat conductivity. Heat from the GPU is rapidly dissipated through 32 fins that extend beyond the height of the graphic card. Optimized fin design allows better air flow thus removing the heat more effectively. Together with the bundled RAM heat sinks and voltage regulator heat spreader, Accelero S1 Rev. 2 provides an all-round passive solution that achieves the best cooling performance.

Comment: Arctic Cooling is a Swiss company dedicated to quiet CPU and GPU cooling. Back in the day, their VGA Silencer heatsinks were on top of the silent computing world, with Zalman's passive heatpipe GPU coolers being their only real competition. Arctic Cooling is now receiving accolades for their own

Comment: An Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev. 2 with good airflow represents what can easily be called one of the best values in today’s high-end aftermarket GPU coolers. While it does not provide the absolute best cooling in the market, it surely represents a very good GPU cooler. You would be remiss if you d
