Fans, Price, quick release drives and expansion slots
Ive had this case for just over a year, there is nothing wrong with this case, but there's also nothing all that special about it either. the fans in front are nice, and the quick release / screwless drive bays and expansion slots are nice. but thats about as far as it goes. you can spend a little more a come out with a nicer case, or you can spend a little less and come out with a little less nicer of a case.

This case is truly a middle of the road product, and prices correctly as such.

Experience: 20 Days

9 front 5.25" bays! Price
Used this as the case for a raid disk array. The 9 front 5.25" bays are what makes this case really shine (well, that and the price). It allows you to put 3 3x5.25"5x3.5" bays for a total of 15 hot swappable hard drives (I used the Supermicro Black 3X5.25 to 5X3.5IN converters).

Nice open case, can add extra low speed case fans for increased cooling and a solid build.

Experience: 30 Days

Keeps everything cool, large vents, Nice black look, many 5.25 drives
The input panel isn't that stylish or sleek
I'm pretty impressed with this case. I purchased it just to put some hard drive bays in it and to use as a network storage pc. It's really hard to find just a plain black case these days. Most cases come with windows and too many lights but when you just want a barebones case, its pretty hard to find something basic. It is also a really good value for what you get. Even though the drive bays are supposed to be toolless, I felt it just wasn't sturdy enough without screwing them down. I don't think there is a reset button either if that matters to anyone.

-Very nice and simple design.
-Great cooling layout and lots of fan holes
-Fairly roomy
-Side panels are a bit flexible.
Overall this case is great and it has been working really well to keep my OC'd system cool. My only gripe is that the side panels are a bit flexible. I have my computer under my desk so if I stretch my feet out and touch the side of the case, the panel 'pops' in and the side fan starts hitting my video card and making noise. This is a small issue and overall it is a great case for the money.

5.25" bays from top to bottom (and ventilated)
PSU on the bottom
Can take 140mm fans
Two 120mm fans included
Doesn't look like it was designed by a l33t adolescent fanboy
Tool-less installation not very secure
Too many fan placements
Side panels too thin
I bought this to replace an Antec Solo, which is a great case, but is a PITA to work inside. I love most of its features but the power supply cannot be removed without first taking out the mobo, it's too cramped inside and it is not deep enough to accomodate longer video cards.

The Centurion 590's construction isn't that great - the side panels are too flimsy for my liking, and one side sticks out a couple of millimeters on the side. The fan mounts are overkill - I could've lived with one on the side and one on the top, but instead they went way overboard with two of each. I'd rather not have my case full of holes, thank you very much. The fan mounts are also designed so that the fans are pretty much flush with the case - this increases the noise they produce. Manufacturers like Antec push their fan grills outward so they don't actually touch the fans. The case came with two 120mm fans, a plain black one at the back and a blue LED one inside the hard drive cage. The LED one is actually a bit quieter and doesn't tick as much when undervolted.

I love that there are 5.25" bays from top to bottom - every case should be like this. I can put my optical drives at the bottom so that they are below eye-level. It also means that I can have a graphics card that's super long - it won't interfere with a 5.25" cage. The hard drive cage can be placed anywhere, up top, in the middle, at the bottom, wherever you like. There are also rubber grommets inside the cage to reduce hard drive vibration.

It's a very roomy case - there is about 2.5 inches between the last set of ATX motherboard screws and the beginning of the drive rack. I do wish there was more room behind the motherboard try though, for routing cables and such. I have three SATA cables back there and it's a pain getting the side panel on. I don't see how you'd do it with a 24-pin ATX cable.

Installing stuff is very simple, but the tool-less mounting system for both expansion cards and drives isn't very secure. Luckily, you have the option of using good old screws if you like. The tool-less mounts are only present on one side of the drive rack, so even if it was nice and tight, you'd still have to go in through the other side with screws - not very convenient.

Having the power supply at the bottom of the case is a popular trend and I hope it continues. I put the power supply with the fan upward. There is ventilation at the bottom (as well as four rubber feat to cushion the PSU) but the case feet aren't very tall - not enough fresh air IMO. Anyway, by putting the PSU at the bottom, the heat coming off the CPU doesn't affect it, so its fan can run slower as it only has to cool the PSU itself. I modded my PSU fan with a very slow speed one (600 RPM or so) and in my old case, the air coming out the back was very warm, even when idle. Now on a full load the air back there is just above room temperature. My CPU temperature went down a bit too and I'm only using one exhaust fan at the moment (same as before).

The only other thing I will mention is the front USB ports don't seem to get as much power as my the ones on my Solo. My 2.5" external hard drive only required one USB port when plugged to the front. Now it requires two, even though they're connected to the same internal header.

Overall, it's a pretty good case, but like any other, it does have its share of problems. When I take into account the price I paid for it though (about $60 pricematched), it's hard for me not to give it five stars.

BTW, it would make a killer file server because you can fill it top to bottom with hotswap trays.

Experience: 3 Days

roomy, screwless(somewhat) great airflow, front usb and firewire.
no reset button
This is a very good case. Room for 6 fans, they include one led and one normal 120mm. My first case with PS on bottom and found cable management very easy. The pci slots holder seem to be loose but hold cards firm, first one that really worked,I usually end up using screws. Only screwless on one side of the 5 1/2 bays. Hd cage has rubber mounts for vibration, mounting drive was easy with supplied shouldered screws. Plenty of room to hide wires behind motherboard which is a bonus.

Experience: 1 Days

Big and lots of room to work with. Include hard drive cage.Water cooling options.
Non removable motherboard tray.
Coolermaster is a reliable brand. Front mesh adds to ventilate the case using negative pressure. Included fans are a nice bonus. Cable management is convienent.

-- Who needs liquid cooling to overclock when you get airflow like this ?
-- Looks awesome with the matching CoolerMaster LED 120mm fans.
-- Great space wot work with, and many 3.5" & 5.25" slots for future expansions. Or if your mobo supports it.
-- Very well thought out design for maximum airflow.
-- Fan screws for CoolerMaster LED 120mm expansion fans seemed like it was a bit intense screwing it in, but after that was quite pleased.
-- Tool-less plastic snaps for expansion slots seemed a little loose (for my optical drive anyway), but seems sturdy enough after 30 days of use.
Well from the very beginning I was looking for maximum airflow, due to the fact that my predecesor left me boiling. And after careful research, and thanks to NCIX, I found something that could most likely do it. And after having it for a while now, I put my hand at the top of the tower and I feel a nice cool breeze (after loading up all the fan expansion slots with matching 120mm fans).

Although I was a bit bummed when one of the pictures at the top showed that you could put 3 front panel fans on it, when i can only put 1 on.

But other than that, its perfect, and lowered my cpu temps by 25 degrees, on air alone ! the best airflow, and looks great with matching blueLED 120mm fans.

Great quality
Very good air flow
Lots of fan ports
Plenty of space
Good cable management
No reset button
A 2nd hard drive cage would be nice
I looked at a lot of different cases when finding this case for my new Linux server build. It was the only one that fit the dimensions that I needed and still had lots of space, had the power supply at the bottom, and just overall seemed to be very good quality case.

I replaced the included fans and added 2 more with scythe fans and now my case has lots of air flow, running quite cool, and is almost inaudible.

I would recommend and have recommended this case to others.

Experience: 4 Months

- Easy to mange cables
- Big enough to fit all parts
- 6 120mm fans! Count 6! (+1 more if you get the extra drive bay
- simple looking and sophisticated
- very easy to work with esp. with the removable front bezel
-actually none
Fantastic case for the price. Coolermaster makes great cases and this is no exception. I did a ton of research for a new case (with no window, i think they look tacky) and this was the best for the price.

Cable management is quiet easy with room behind the mobo (not a ton, but enough). I installed 4 120mm scyth fans and it is quiet as can be.

Overall a great buy. Got it at a great price too!
